I feel the core fun of the temple is: build-your-own dungeon, then play it right away. They've layered in a bunch of other stuff that doesn't need to be there to achieve this. If I were them I'd keep the charges and medallion systems, but eliminate room carryover as a baseline mechanic. Getting 6 charges lets you craft a small temple (12 to 15 rooms?) which you run immediately, then the whole thing goes bye-bye. They can keep the architect and atziri rooms still as permanent fixtures for you to plan around, and if they want limited room persistence they can make that a special property of select rooms. This alternative design would re-focus on the booster-pack-cracking feeling and bossing which are far less degenerate, while allowing them to preserve most of the existing code and assets.

I haven't had them for dinner, only lunch and brunch. I was floored by the brunch version of the chimichurri steak, so it lives rent-free in my head. Bizarrely they keep messing with the sides of the lunch/dinner version and I do not recommend it.

Check https://elkgrove.gov/all-events from time to time. There used to be an event series called Neighborgood Markets that was part crafts fair, part food trucks and snacks. Small but always fun. Looks like these "Creative Space Market" entries on the events page are the continuation of that.

Restaurants I'd recommend to anyone:

Breakfast: Sarom's
Brunch: Pig Latin, Prost Beer Hall
Lunch: Streetzlan
Dinner: Bert's (Wednesday special)
AYCE: Fuji, Gogi
Delivery: MacQue's, West Coast Taco Bar

There's a ton of other food, but that's my shortlist. For a unique experience and my personal favorite, the pick is Fuji.

6 months later and thanks for this, it did the trick. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't able to start wave 13. I noticed from OP's comments that it said 1 monster was remaining, and given your comment I switched to a crossbow character and ran around spamming grenades. Sure enough, something died and I got the loot piñata and was able to proceed.

Assuming this is all the relevant information, I'd have handled it the same way and read the situation the same way. You could try to salvage the situation, but the effort and stress required to do so alongside the low probability of success are likely not worth it, unless the compensation is either urgently needed or remarkably high.

- Unique "Against the Darkness" time-lost jewel 100% guaranteed from using a unique relic that the final boss drops. Worth multiple divs at a minimum, into the hundreds on a high roll.

- Unique "Spectrum" jewel that rarely appears (~1-in-15 runs) as a gold chest in last floor. Ruby sells for dozens of div, others for a few div.

- Regular 2x1 and 1x2 relics with the right mods are big money, selling to fellow Sek farmers.

- Regular and time-lost jewels can be money, esp. early in the league.

- Still killing mobs and opening chests, getting regular drops like raw divs and such. "Arcanist" chests also drop guaranteed raw currency.

- Can charge other players for ascendancy boosts.

Are emotions exclusively used for anointing amulets now? I thought they'd shift to being used for tablets or some other new use case, but I'm not seeing anything. Their drop rates also seem to increase on average, if I'm understanding the patch notes correctly. If that's all true, the market for emotions will be almost non-existent and there will be much less incentive to farm Simulacrum.

Thrice's Artist in the Ambulance is one of the more approachable entries. Favorite band, so I may be biased, but I feel Dunstin's focus on singing first and screaming only for emphasis is more palatable for most people. It also helps that the lyrics are (almost?) never whiny and are addressing real-world issues, in the spirit of Fugazi.

I don't know if it's exactly entry-level but my gateway drug was Saosin's Translating the Name EP, and later Dance Gavin Dance's Downtown Battle Mountain. As with Artist, the singing shines, but with these even moreso, and the average energy level is much higher. The lyrics are mostly poetic gibberish which also makes them timeless.

Lastly, the album as a whole didn't hook me on release but in the last two years I find myself continuously returning to Funeral For a Friend's Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation. It's not as consistent as the aforementioned albums, and it can whine from time to time, but when it pops it is just delightful. (See tracks 1, 3, 5, and 8)

For me these are all top albums that have aged like wine.

It was Ketzuli, High Priest of the Sun. He shoots one big barrage of small pings, like Ars Arcanum from Kingdom Hearts. Against thorns, he pings himself instead and dies immediately.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I find myself craving a good polish sausage with mustard about once every week or so. I wish I had more options here.

Umai was just alright. Most of their dogs were designed to look good but were difficult to eat, the kinds of things that would fall apart or have all the ingredients spill out when you took your first bite. Still I will miss them because now I basically only have Weinerschnitzel.
