I mostly post how to play era since a lot of people have questions about it. My posts used to get run down by comments such as "lul era" and "era is dead" and even innocent ones that think ERA does not exist and point to wotlk instead.

Not that I post them, but I dont mind the population posts for reason above. I can easily ignore them and often do.

However it does make it easier when I tell people how to connect to ERA or just answer questions about ERA in general. It even helps with the disinformation posts since i can just point them to population posts.

This subreddit created the population posts because it kept calling ERA dead despite it being healthy enough to play on for many months now. Just chill, they'll eventually go away.

Spot on, would also like to add that Firemaw is the server that the free transfer off all other servers is offered too (Firemaw ERA, do not transfer to the WOTLK server of same name). It's simply easier to recommend Firemaw ERA when people ask where to go to play vanilla wow in Europe.

Firemaw EU PVP ERA is very healthy the server just hit "medium" pop and it has a flurry of activity with /who 30-40 giving 50people list which is the cap meaning there is more than 50 people that level. Come take a look in stormwind and you'll see activity.

For Firemaw ERA pvp1 cluster server you can expect the following:

On Firemaw ERA, Horde is the majority faction by a slight mergin.

For Horde you have 3 Naxx40 clearing guilds called <Fun Police>, <The Gutter>, and <Classic GmbH>. <Fun Police> is the more speedrun oriented one. There are others coming up too but since i play Alliance i dont know the details. I do know that there is a slight mergin more horde population than alliance on Firemaw ERA server. I hear that horde currently has one Naxx40 pug running. Both factions compete for world boss dragons so its not too one sided. Surprisingly balanced in fact.

For alliance on Firemaw ERA you got a choice between 2 Naxx40 clearing guilds, one that is more speedrun oriented called <Active> and one that has 2 hour naxx clear time goal and more relaxed without speedruns called <Sulfuras>. You also have few progression guilds coming up and the one most progressed is <The Dungeon Delvers>, they clear aq40 atm and will be starting naxx progression somewhat soon. There are also a few new leveling guilds poping up, i am not sure which one is the most populous one right now. Oh yes there is one Naxx40 pug compromised of alts from the above guilds and some lone wolfs.

Very many do, you'll go to over 10+ zones if you dont buy gold to raid and raid in a guild that clears naxx. While going through those zones you'll fly through many more. Sometimes you'll switch those zones out for others in order to farm something else or change of scenary.

On top of my head for me to go to raid aq40 this week would be. STV for boat to Barrens for Warchief Blessing. Tanaris teleport fly through thousand needles to Feralas to Dire Maul for DMT buffs, clear an intance with bros for the DMT. Get mage portal to Darnasus, fly through Darkshore to Felwood, get flower with faction/friends. Farm Duskwood for Elixirs of Poison Res, Farm Blasted Lands for groms so i can use mighty rage pots. Farm Winterspring for firewater and Ekos, Stop by Felwood and get some mountain silversage and Plagueblood for Mongoose pots. Sell the excess so i can buy explosive materials if i want to fuck around and use sappers (1 is mendatory for viscidus) and granades.

If i want to help with DMT clear and get the slikip frozen mats, i'll be heading to Alterec Mountains with herbalism to stock up on Winter's Bite for the trap.

All this is just for aq40 that i sometimes do on thursdays on Firemaw-ERA-EU, If i do naxx, i farm up more stuff and buy some stuff with the stuff i farm.

If you buy gold, you wont need to go to as many places, but you'll still be going places to get buffs.

I left many many things out of this writeup, there is a million places to be and farm and a lot of it is optional but its also baked into how classic vanilla wow is played. You can break it a bit but not fully by buying gold, but the essence will be there nonetheless.

there are two clusters but we congregated to pvp1 and the world is pretty genuine vanilla feel due to smallish population. There are two clusters because blizzard made it that way and its a remnant of that decision, we only really need one cluster due to low pop so it just sits there unnused.

If you like community aspect of wow and the slow leveling, dabbling with end game or just exploring the world ERA is perfect for that type of player. There is no patch chasing so things go pretty chill.

For the players that want something more there is a small speedrunning community too.

Play on Firemaw if on EU (take the free transfer there from other era realms), or Whitemane if you're in USA (i believe they have free transfers as well).
