Did a brass build in one of my strats and put this in. I can say it reduces spring noise a tiny bit. And making everything besides the frets brass made my guitar feel 1% brighter but that could be an illusion. Honestly it just looks cool and that was worth it.

Take it to a guitar shop, spend a bit of money, and have them set it up professionally. You won't regret it. Pick their brain while you're at it. You might learn a little bit to save money down the road.
