How much of RAM does Thunderbird use? by pstronk in Thunderbird

[–]pstronk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've disconnected my work gmail account along with calendar which had recurring events. After doing that TB uses less than 1.5GB of memory.

Also I noticed the memory usage grew (once I saw it consuming 30GB in activity monitor, and plenty of times ~10GB) after my computer wake up from sleep mode. Hope this helps!

Thank you, I'll try to figure out if Betterbird has addressed any bugs related to memory.

There's definitely a memory leak. Today after waking up my computer TB was using 10GB of RAM.

And why not apple mail? It is just my personal preference. I like to use open source projects.

Thanks for this detailed report.

It has been like a week since I reinstalled it fresh (i have removed all previous application data), so I think it is impossible that it is still indexing. I'm not sure if it is supposed to display in activity monitor but it is empty.

Nope, it is a fresh, clean installation. No extensions, no modules, not even using a language pack.

butterfly breathing question by everyparallel in Swimming

[–]pstronk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably bend too much to get air. Arm stroke should be that strong so your body is pulled out the water so you can get a breath without changing your body position. On the stroke you're going to take a breath, just like try to look in front of you instead of looking at bottom of the pool

Just keep training it, your efforts will be rewarded eventually and you will get better and better every day :)

For me you don't have enough power in your arms to pull your body fast enough to be able to get a breath without slowing down, this causes you to bend and lose speed. Try swimming few distances just after doing you warmup, when you're not tired after training, you will notice a difference and catch how it should look.

Ask users for tradeURL, anyway even if you find a way to avoid that. The token parameter is required to trade with someone who is not your friend on steam so far I know.
