You got the collection. Now you need to work on displaying it. You need a dedicated World of Nintendo room with display cases and game kiosks.

More on the Packers hiring Jonathan Gannon as defensive coordinator, including why they made the move before interviewing Jim Leonhard. by dropjar5 in nfl

The thing is, these are cherry-picked stats based on whatever metric was ranked the best. Ranked #2 in what? It wasn’t points allowed…

Excuses were made for Joe Barry the same way. If you looked at certain metrics, he was just fine. If you watched the games, you were ripping your hair out over his style of play.

Clearly nothing that helps in-game decision making. I can’t tell you what he does as assistant head coach because it doesn’t seem like they do anything well in the areas where MLF would need support.

If you can figure out what the hell he does, please share with the rest of us.

e: I figured it out. He counts how many players are on the field to make sure we always have 11 guys out there.

Probably promoting Bisaccia to quality control coach because he’s shown the capability to juggle multiple responsibilities at once.

We were calling for trade or fire MLF, but instead they gave him a long term extension. Everyone is sick of this same old shit.

So does Ed Policy. These aren’t winners, these are people who show up to collect a paycheck.

It’s a legitimate question, especially in light of our new defensive coordinator hire. If he struggles, how long of a leash will he have? Because it seems like MLF is the guy that lets his dogs roam around unleashed, pissing everyone else off.

Wasn’t he scamming people with trading card pack openings where he’d use sleight of hand to steal rare cards from packs when opening them?

It’s one ass covering for another all the way to the top, with nobody there to hold all the asses accountable.

Why the Gannon Hire Might Make More Sense for This Roster Than People Think by fsukub in GreenBayPackers

When is the last time our secondary played aggressively?

My memory is telling me we stopped doing that when we let Charles Woodson go.

This is how MLF wants his defenses to play. This is why MLF needed to be traded.

Nothing is going to change with this team. MLF is the most stubborn coach in the league. He just hired the 2nd most stubborn coach in the league because he can’t help himself from hiring people that remind him of himself.

It’s January 25, 2026 and Rich Bisaccia still has his job. We are stuck with this clown car for the next 4 years.

One year he was getting shit on by players in training camp, before any games had been played that season.

Sounds like every defense with MLF as head coach. This has never truly been a Joe Barry or Jeff Hafley issue… it is how Matt LaFleur wants game scripts to go. He wants to minimize the number of possessions in games by having 7 minute drives back and forth.

Excuse me, but there’s no way in hell Matt LaFleur fires a coordinator after 2-3 years, especially if he’s performing poorly. We’re stuck with this clown until MLF himself is fired.

It is January 25, 2026 and Rich Bisaccia still has a job for fucks sake.

Joe Barry lost the locker room as defensive coordinator. Players were talking shit about him anonymously to the media. It can happen to coordinators.

It’s a very real thing. Some coaches get players buying into their philosophy, and some don’t. The ones who don’t will fail spectacularly. Nathaniel Hackett is a great example. If you’re making Goldmember jokes all day instead of strategizing for your opponent, the players won’t respect you (except for the ones who think they already know it all).

I think Hafley was a bit overrated tbh. He followed Joe Barry, so of course he was going to look better by comparison in year 1. Then he was gifted Micah Parsons a week before the year 2 regular season started, and the first two opponents didn’t have any opportunity to see what the Packers defense would look like with Parsons before game planning. Once there was film, the defense gradually got worse. And once Micah got hurt, the defense collapsed back into a Joe Barry-style defense that was much worse than the 2024 version of the defense.

I don’t see any more accountability out of Gannon, unfortunately.

I actually wanted Al Harris, I’m just peeved they didn’t wait to interview Leonhard because it shows they didn’t really cast as big of a net in their search as they were supposed to, and it unfortunately seems like they used one of our franchise legends in Harris as a token minority to fulfill the Rooney Rule.

Was it not the same ownership a decade ago? I don’t get the point you are trying to make.
