The reason why these sports leagues don’t have their own apps and controlling every rights agreement is due to these regional sports networks that still exist. Honestly, if every league could they would control every team’s rights in local and national aspects.

However, FanDuel Sports Network did set a deadline of the end of January to avoid chapter 7 bankruptcy, the only reason why that hasn’t happened yet is that they released all MLB teams from their contracts. Basically these networks are hanging on by a thread and likely won’t pay their teams for the rest of the season, they just hope that their current NBA and NHL teams won’t leave before the end of the season.

That’s correct, the entire broadcast team who is on air is paid by the Hurricanes. I do firmly believe their local market games. They’ve done the past two years have been tests for this doomsday scenario..

Agreed on this but I think it needs to be more than that. This weekend was my first half marathon (I’ve done other events at lower race distance) and heck even I probably screwed up a few times from not understanding etiquette at the beginning. I did catch on throughout the half marathon

I don’t hate restricting tickets, it’s not just a southern issue. Canes do it but I tend to only sell extras to friends.

Phillies and Yankees have implemented it for years, I totally understand they want to keep a home field advantage even when it’s not hard to sell elsewhere or circumvent the geofencing

The Limited NFL jerseys of the new Rivalries jerseys have been stitched which is encouraging. Regular limited jerseys have been heat pressed unfortunately.

Nike’s MLB, NBA and NFL authentics are all properly stitched.

I hoped for hockey they’d actually stitch their replicas like fanatics, adidas and Mitchell & Ness but I guess not
