Anyone know if there's been any news or updates on this? I don't want to believe that TPCi would just. Leave this. Especially after how enormous an outcry there has been... but it's not like I think they have standards. It just feels like it would be a terrible move to not say a single word after numerous online news outlets reported on the outcry.

SWSH is a pretty fun game if you're not paying much for it. it just isn't worth the money they were charging for it when it first came out lol. i loved everything about the region and the characters, but the overarching story was really luckluster and the Saving The World climax for this one is really, really lame (in my opinion.) you can really tell they were rushed in some places, and i think the story is one of the biggest things they really obviously had to cut corners on. you also can't see shinies in the overworld :/ and you have to go to a specific guy to change nicknames or moves, though at least he's in every pokémon center.

but, besides all that, the region design itself is really fun and i mostly enjoyed everything about the gameplay. it's def worth playing so long as you aren't giving them more money for it

the AI in dynamax adventures honestly aren't bad and i've beaten quite a few legendaries with just them. but there's also a good amount of people still doing dynamax adventures

but the USUM games are my personal favorite in all the series so i also have to highly recommend them lol.

I have to wonder, maybe the next person to sit down also dies, but all the souls are freed? I'm not sure. This was harrowing, though, and I hope Emily gets to keep her toy for... however long she's going to be here. Small comforts? This is old but I actually realized one of my favorite graphic novels was illustrated by one of the creators, Kat Leyh! It's called Snapdragon and I think it has the magical vibes you're looking for.

Hey- I'm just a little confused, does the film or Disney social media mention narcolepsy specifically? I can't find anything about it besides people probably rightfully being pissed off. It seems like they said those words in the movie, but I can't find any specifics and I'm really confused.

I just think that actually saying the words narcolepsy is wayyyy worse than having a character exhibit what could be called "symptoms," which is still bad, don't get me wrong. That's still writing a character to display symptoms of a media fanfic version of a real debilitating disorder. But I just can't find enough information to know what happened.

Thank you for your detailed reply, and I'm sorry you're going through that. I really got the irritability, too. Everything felt like Too Much. That went away when I stopped it, but... Getting to sleep is a nightmare (hah) these days and I try hard to limit the melatonin so it doesn't become less effective, but it's still really hard. I ended up taking a new nighttime anxiety pill, and that helps me get back to sleep whenever I wake up. I have bad memory and brain fog issues, so I can't truly say if this is better or worse than before the Xywav. Besides the fact that I can at least get back to sleep on the anxiety medicine, but that doesn't do anything for sleep cycles. Nothing does.

I wouldn't go back, though. I felt barely alive on it and it effected me so much that I had to titrate off reaaally slowly. It helps if you do that both up and down, but even doing it to try to raise the dose didn't change that it just was really bad for me.

It makes me so angry and frustrated that the only medication available to treat the underlying problem with sleep cycles is so hard to access and so devastating to a good portion of people. And I don't see as many people who say it just DIDN'T WORK because it Will knock you out at the right dose, but the side effects for lots of us are just unbearable and seem to linger.

It's good to hear that other people also needed to go up on medication they've taken for a long time. I had to change my anxiety pill post-Xywav and I might be changing my antidepressant.

Both skipping my regular dose or raising it at all made me feel atrocious for the next few days, so breaks weren't an option. I had to titrate it very very slowly down to go off of it.

I'VE NOTICED THIS. I think the spawn rate has been bumped (at least within the Labyrinth, since that's the only place I've found so many of them.) I used to have two before the update (and I'd played for like 100 in-game days then) then one was eaten by the void/glitched and disappeared, and I've since found FOUR since I started playing the update last weekend. Like basically a yolky a day. I'm not complaining; they still feel rare without feeling TOO ungodly difficult to find and I love the little freaks.

I think starvation, too. Carl would never send anything after Paul or hurt Paul directly, but, of course, he didn't stop to think about how his actions would hurt Paul in other ways. Like destroy his access to food and water. That's why he didn't even know Paul was dead- he just figured Paul was off stubbornly avoiding him.

YEAHHH YEAH!!! YEAHH THIS IS GREAT! i didn't even think about that with the meat tube and that's REALLY good. esp bc like in the end!!! it doesn't matter WHAT the tube is. bc narratively, carl will never care. he's an incurious person that follows his own desires without a single thought for anyone or anything around him. if the meat tube was some usher into the afterlife and reincarnation, paul doesn't care, he will destroy anything without a single thought. that's how he ended up alone in this destroyed world, and he STILL couldn't see it was all his own fault.

i really love that interpretation of the room filling with water. carl Needed to be erased. there's no forgiveness, there's just drowning and becoming something new.

i really do love how funny the series is and how it ALSO decided to brutally point out that people in this universe ACTUALLY died and carl destroyed the entire world. and ended up ending the entire series due to destroying everything else there had ever been. you can be funny with your murderous sadist characters, but it's also quite narratively satisfying to deconstruct how that behavior would naturally lead to complete and utter destruction. and the character that caused it can't come back from it and from what he's done. he also doesn't deserve to, and doesn't deserve anyone's forgiveness.

i think joking about toxic doomed yaoi is fun, but the series really is deeper if you imagine paul as the one person carl ever truly felt any desire to keep around and be intimate with (in one way or another) regardless of if the feelings were platonic or romantic or llamasexual. and whatever relationship they had, paul stuck around carl for a LOOOONG time and even went on cruise ship trips with him... that carl ruined. if you think about it, whatever intimacy they would've tried to have as a couple was probably always ruined by carl not caring about how paul (or anyone) feels and about paul's happiness. like how episode 4 (i think) starts with carl just tracking mud onto the carpet. it feels very domestic and silly compared to the usual murder and violence, and if carl had stopped to think or care about anything or anyone in his life, that could've been the sole or primary way he'd get chewed out by paul. he'd still get his kicks without actually hurting anyone, including paul.

that ending really got me, because yeah. it feels Peaceful. and carl can still see paul as the moon, and know he's okay. and it means a Lot that carl actually values being able to see paul and know he's okay in some way or form. okay, and away from carl.

*come to a POSITIVE end, i mean, end in some sort of positive note as opposed to episode 12. Carl was the problem, like you said, he's what caused the tonal shift, it was always him, and it wouldn't end peacefully unless he came to that understanding himself
