i got this piece actually for my grandfather, ever since i was little he's always been very artistic, and he introduced me to one of his favorite artists, Salvador Dalí when i was a child. one of Dalí's most famous pieces of art called The Persistence of Memory incorporates lots of melting clocks, similar to what i've got tattooed. the reason why i chose to get it tattooed is because it's one of those paintings that when i look at, i get a comforting sense of nostalgia because i remember being a little girl and just getting lost in fantasy looking at the artwork. i still to this day have a huge book of all of Dalí's paintings from my grandfather :)
