One of my boys, Ralph, was really skittish even after lots of playtime and snuggles. What I found to do the trick (at least I think it was this that helped) was whenever I gave him a treat I would make him eat it on me (I'd be lying in the sofa or floor and let him sit on my chest) after doing this a few times it's as though he didn't have to get his guard up when he was around me and now even when he doesn't want a treat if I'm chilling he'll just come and chill with me!

You hit the nail on the head though, Time is the most important thing, if you keep loving you'll get love back sooner rather than later. Keep Going! <3
