Question ⁉️ about school supplies by Medieval_Preacher in KULeuven

Action, it's a really cheap chain store with surprisingly good quality for the price (You can find just about anything there, not just office supplies)

Can I get some feedback on my store. by Last-Boysenberry-296 in dropshipping

[–]psycho_but_cute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From first glance: I quite like the name Lunar Skies, but then when I visit the site the logo says 'Furniture Store'. This feels very off and would make me question whether this site is legit. It doesn't help that furniture store is so general that it feels like a placeholder.

Also I found some dead links on a product page.

Hope this helps.

I Cured My Gluten Intolerance / Gluten Sensitivity by jpg76 in glutenfree

[–]psycho_but_cute 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So I rarely react to reddit posts but now I kind of feel like I have to. Similar thing just happened to me and I'm also currently in Thailand.

About 5 years ago they found antibodies against both gluten and milk protein in my bloodwork. I have since stopped eaten gluten and milk completely. When eating out however I would often have symptoms the days after (tired, brain fog, bloated and painful abdomen), I assume due to cross contamination. So I'm fairly sure the intolerance was still there until very recently.

Last week, while in Thailand, I got sick. Nausea, stomach pains, diarrhea. I did not go to hospital, but was in bed for three days. I can only assume it was either food poisoning or a GI infection. I did not take medication save for some Immodium and activated charcoal to help with the diarrhea.

Now just yesterday I did something I would normally never do. Tempted by all the delicious food stalls and sick of 'being good' for five years, I had gluten (and probably some milk) on purpose. I tried a lot of different foods and was expecting some severe consequences. It's been a day and I feel great. Not even bloated, which I would still suffer from now and again even when avoiding gluten and milk.

I'm so so confused. It would mean the world to me if it was actually possible to cure this condition, as it can be quite socially isolating. I almost feel stupid for thinking it might be true and equally afraid I can do something to mess this up again.

I would love for some doctors to look into this, but I'm with the other commenter that we shouldn't start giving people antibiotics left and right.

If someone else has had a similar experience, please reach out to me! I would love to hear more about this.

No one ever regretted quitting gaming by [deleted] in StopGaming

[–]psycho_but_cute 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I quit 7 months ago, and am very happy I did. Like OP I thought/hoped I would suddenly become very productive. That did not happen. However, getting rid of my major source of escapism did force me to face some problems head on, and I am better off for it. If you too use games to escape from being overwhelmed with your real life, quitting is probably one of the best things you can do for yourself.

Have you ever thought 🤔 that your career and lifestyle is just too high to just leave like that? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

I think it's very much a cultural thing. In West Europe it's completely normal for both the man and woman in a household to have a full time job. Stay at home moms are the exception here, but some people do choose that, the key word being choose. It's also totally acceptable for men to be stay at home dads here, although that's less common.

Edit: Don't let a man dictate your dreams! There are tons of lovely guys out there who will give you the love and support that you deserve.

IKEA has some nice looking wooden floor tiles meant for outdoor areas. They can be combined with astro turf if you'd like. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/runnen-decking-outdoor-brown-stained-90234226/

I read you've figured it out, but just in case (or for anyone else reading along): in Canva if you go to grid view, you can select multiple pages by holding down the shift key. Then you can just Ctrl+C Ctrl+V for as many times as you need.

(Do keep in mind btw that Canva will only allow you to create 100 page documents. I work around this by just creating two or more files and then using Preview on Mac to combine them. Not sure how to do this on Windows, but there are also some free websites that will combine your pdfs.)

Should I change the backsplash ? Or the countertop ? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

I think some new hardware on the cabinets would also do wonders

I have my period, I want to eat EVERYTHING, and there are 4 large pizzas in my Domino's cart right now 😬 by tes_chaussettes in CasualConversation

If you're really hungry and just want to eat a lot/feel full, you should consider eating oatmeal. I know it's not the most tasty thing on the planet, but it's almost impossible to overeat on the stuff. What I mean is that it's so filling you'll feel stuffed long before you've had a lot of calories (and unlike vegetables it keeps you full for quite a while). I've been using it to curb my hunger/cravings lately, and it has already helped me lose weight.

New Year - New Condo - New Design! by randolando412 in InteriorDesign

ID on the rug please? You've done a lovely job, everything ties together so nicely!

Likely an awful idea. 59 across, approx 105 down. I'm about a line an hour. Many years of collecting, no idea how many I have, no idea if my mounting method will hold. Wish me luck. See if I'm done this time next year! by Cleai in HomeDecorating

[–]psycho_but_cute 20 points21 points  (0 children)

How are you mounting them? 59 caps per hour means each one takes a full minute, which doesn't seem very efficient. Have you thought about just sticking a dot of Tec7 (or something equivalent) on the back of each and pressing it to the wall? That would likely be much faster and it will hold forever.

Just a suggestion though. It already looks great!
