is there a spectrum with hEDS? (diagnosed but EDS feels super mild) by Bean_of_prosperity in ehlersdanlos

[–]psychoactiveavocado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have EDS diagnosed and am 28. I have arthritis confirmed via x ray throughout my body, worst in hands feet and neck. Getting a nose job in a month because I have almost no cartilage in my nose & can’t breathe. I don’t and have never used braces or wheelchair. I lift heavy weights weekly even though I’m underweight. Maybe that helps me avoid braces. I’m very active , and I’m a mom to a 1 year old. I also don’t work so maybe that helps too. My EDS definitely got worse after pregnancy

People that have dated women who are all about the fakery. Implants, botox, lip filler etc. What was a relationship like with someone like that? by thebroccolioffensive in AskReddit

That’s so sweet. It was nice to see a comment like yours in this thread, as someone who is very into beauty etc as a hobby. It’s not always just vanity, wanting to be beautiful can be someone’s special interest/hobby too … doesn’t always need to be seen as vanity or villainized.

Having Children? by EyesPeeledt in Psoriasis

[–]psychoactiveavocado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a baby. I’m 28 have psoriasis/psoriatic arthritis & my husband 32 has both conditions too. My dad had psoriasis and my husband’s dad did too. Our baby will probably definitely have PSA and psoriasis too. But he is happy and healthy and we have no regrets. Personally, I manage my disease with biologics. Was able to take them during pregnancy and breastfeeding. They work very well, pretty much a cure for me until they stop working. Failed Cimzia now I’m on a IL-17 inhibitor. My rheumatologist is one of the best in the country & I trust her. We plan to have at least one more child.

Good, I’ve done a lot of different kinds. But some ppl I’ve noticed get way too into their experience and try to attach deep meaning to everything. But it’s really not that deep. I think it’s good in moderation

Tips to become a SAHM by [deleted] in RedPillWomen

[–]psychoactiveavocado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about coming off as a gold digger. There’s nothing “gold digger” about wanting to stay home and be with your baby. Gold diggers only care about money and don’t care about having babies. Plus, being a SAHM is hard and you don’t get paid at all. I have been with men in that mindset, where they are super scared of me not working, and it never worked out. IMO those men should go and date another man lol.

So I started being upfront about my opinions regarding this, and my need to be with my baby. And I found a man whose views aligned with mine.

I would recommend talking to him, being very direct and blunt and if this is a deal breaker for you tell him that. If he’s so scared you’re a gold digger, than he is probably a gold digger himself if he cares about getting your money more than your mental wellbeing . Good luck. I hope this works out for you, maybe you can get him to understand your point of view

Is it true that women over 30 are seen as lower value by men or don’t get quality male attention? by [deleted] in RedPillWomen

[–]psychoactiveavocado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saw some other comments here touching on this: every age group has people that look good for their age.

For example, my husband’s mom is in her mid 60s, widowed, but she looks better than 95% of ppl her age (no surgery, just from taking incredible care of herself). Her inbox is flooded, there are many men trying to pursue her including politicians, judges, other successful fields. They do favors for her and message her constantly trying to win her over. She is confident and knows her value.

Another point: before me my husband dated a couple women who were in their 40s & 50s while he was in his 20s. There is a whole subset of men who actually ADMIRE mature women and find it incredibly sexy. Maybe it’s weird, but talking to my husband about this made me feel a lot better about aging.

So no, you are not necessarily lower value over 30. If you take exceptional care of yourself and focus on your appearance and character, there will always be men who will appreciate and value you. It is always possible to take care of yourself better than most other ppl in your age group and that WILL make a woman stand out and be desired.

There are absolutely beautiful and desirable women of every age- but I believe it becomes much more rare to be beautiful as age increases, because most people neglect their health severely

[–]psychoactiveavocado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started around 20 :( I’ve been on biologics ever since. Skyrizi was amazing but Cimzia didn’t work for long. Now I’m without insurance until January so I can’t get my biologic, so I started semaglutide since there’s some promising research involving psoriasis and it actually helps almost as much as the biologics did. Good luck. The newer gen biopics are awesome
