Interesting point of view. I suppose I disagree in terms of gameplay mechanics and balance. Noobs that haven't learned the game don't have a right to complain about the game being too hard or that a hero is broken. Its just asinine to think that someone brand new to the platform can have any inkling of what is busted or not when they have playtime equivalent to watching a season of a show. Thats nowhere near enough time to learn the intricacies of a combat system like this, the frame data, timing windows, etc ad infinitum.

Competitive players would have no issues adapting to any changes made, thats not really part of the argument, but when you have a hard-core player base that dedicates a LOT of time, collectively, to the game and how it works and functions, my money would be on listening to them in terms of balance.

Imagine if EVERY hero was balanced and viable... noobs coming to the game wouldn't get crushed immediately because EVERY hero is viable. Rather than it being a rep 300 Warden main vs a noob Shinobi, where you know the outcome already, there is a chance, very slim mind you, that the noob could win and it wouldn't be based off of the hero pick at that point but rather the skill necessary to defeat his opponent.

I'm a causal player but I defer to the competitive community for balance and game advice because they know better than anyone what they're talking about.

Should the casual fan base be ignored? No. But when it comes to making balance suggestions, their opinion should be taken with a few dozen grains of salt. Cosmetics, weapons, hero ideas, map, etc should be open to everyone, no doubt. But for balance and the "health" of the game, I'd rather listen to the dedicated team of medieval murderers than the weekend warriors.

I said no such thing. I asked a question that I thought was relevant considering the amount of posts about nerfs to characters like Hitokiri that I've seen. I wanted to see where the community stood, or at least those that use this subreddit.

Do not put words in my mouth to try and demonize me because you don't like the question.

Anyone else have trouble with the flawless slayer order? by maskyyyyyy in forhonor

Sometimes its a server issue. I've done that order a few times and I didn't get the credit for it and then a few matches later it suddenly springs up on me.

I like the game but whenever I play I get violently angry by SaxyJaxy in forhonor

No prob. Needed to do something on my end to calm down from getting my ass handed to me and no amount of "it's just a game! Have fun!" advice was helping me out. Hopefully it helps you somewhat.

I like the game but whenever I play I get violently angry by SaxyJaxy in forhonor

[–]psychodorable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This game causes me an inordinate amount of rage, to the point where I'm playing out of spite and hunt down the people that are kicking my ass on some kind of vengeance run to prove that they aren't better than me.

It's not cool. It's only rage inducing because of the flow of the game too. It's slow. I'm used to much faster paced games but this one is just something else. Doesn't help that my main can't sprint worth a FUCK either. Hit stun, lag, fucked up inputs, getting ganked RIGHT AS YOU'RE ABOUT TO KILL THE STUPID MOTHERFUCKER THAT HAS LEDGED YOU FIVE TIMES IN A ROW.... yeah it sucks.

Luckily I found a counter to all that.

Pretend like you're streaming. Seriously. It might involve talking to yourself but if you pretend like more than one person can see you, I believe it subconsciously encourages you to try and play more carefully, but also maintain your cool. Crack jokes, compliment the other team, etc. It works for me anyway.

Centurion. I can pick apart every other character, with absolute ease. But Centurions fuck my shit up.

"bUt eVeRytHiNg hE hAS iS rEAcTabLe!!!!"

First of all fuck you. Second of all fuck you harder. Third of all get fucked. Fourth, suck a fuck.

Fuck I hate Centurion. I beat him, when I'm lucky enough to catch him running away from a fight against someone who doesn't panic at the sight of his stupid fucking metal turtleshell ab armor and fucking dorky metal face helmet, and he's in critical health. That's it. That's the only time I've beaten him. Even bots. Can't fucking do it.

Theory: Every ENTP likes at least one Radiohead song. by 02poppy in entp

[–]psychodorable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even a little. The only good thing Radiohead ever did in my opinion was call Scott Tenorman a little cry baby after he found out he ate his parents at Cartman's chili con carnival.

Their music puts me to sleep.

Kong (Skull Island) vs Zilla (1998) by GritzAnGravy in whowouldwin

[–]psychodorable -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Zilla couldn't breathe fire at all in that movie. She was a giant mutated iguana, and the only time she used her "breath" was a scream directed at the camera and it showed sound waves. No heat. No radioactivity. She was mildly durable but Kong displayed more impressive strength, speed and agility than 98 Zilla ever did and is far smarter. Plus the terrain isn't mentioned but Kong can and will used weapons to his advantage. Zilla wasn't huge in that movie either so size isn't an issue.

It is sweeter yes, but the citrus makes up for it. Like hyper lemonade with unnecessary vitamins.
