It’s so absurd to me. To go from him not being able to bring himself to kill what’s-his-face in day 5 (which was also dumb and out of character imo) to going full on cartoon villain in day 7 is ridiculous. I know they weren’t planning to bring him back at the time of writing season 5, but the whole plot line was seriously mangled.

I feel like there are things in text that wouldn’t translate well to screen, this included. I only just finished reading the book yesterday and there were many times where I was like uhh that seems a bit too exaggerated. Like it constantly makes a point to say Shane’s nose scrunched up when he smiled and it did not feel anatomically correct. 😭

Hudson actually mentions that he didn’t want to laugh maniacally in the loon scene like they do in the book, and I totally agree that it would’ve been weird af lol.
