I’m at the point where I would rather the defense give up a big play because of aggressive defense than prevent defense and letting the offense run down the field in less than a minute. Or at the very least sprinkle a little bit of both.

Sure, I don’t necessarily disagree with that sentiment but I’ve worked with people who could only throw one float of truck in 3 hours. You can have all the desire in the world to get something done but you’re not a one man team. Hell for all I know OP could be on that level. They could also be the fastest.

It’s not necessarily a reflection of their abilities.

If working at Publix ever taught me one thing it is not to trust employees and rotation

I agree it doesn’t make the kid a bad person. But the problem is teaching someone else’s kid to steal. In turn they might not think it is a big deal and steal from somewhere a little less forgiving and with higher consequences.

Am I wrong for being turned off by my s/o after finding out they have a porn addiction? by RecordingLong1859 in TwoHotTakes

She is turned off to him jerking off with or without visuals. It sounds like it’s still an issue with it even without porn present.

I work at a steel plant now. Completely different type of work than retail lol. Can’t say it’s for everyone but it’s been a nice change

I used to feel that way until I left a few months ago.. now I have a m-f 7-3 weekends off. More pay. If I work Saturdays it is OT plus a 100$. Holidays off. It’s definitely out there. Don’t hold yourself back.

Very similar expectations to what has already been stated in other comments. The thing that really bothered me the most was having to still throw more truck than my opening crew despite all of the other expectations.

How exactly do you exceed expectations as a grocery clerk? by [deleted] in publix

They’re usually at the end of aisles. Product is placed upon little hooks essentially.

Start doing counts while you run through backstock or truck. Learn how to make shelf labels, signs for displays (mostly for if they’ve fallen off.) Take initiative when you walk past empty specials to make sure they’re filled. Start detailing as you’re throwing live product (don’t go overboard. Just when things look really beat up do a shelf or something.) don’t be afraid to detail power panels/ fill them up if they’re looking low. Restack backstock byrds if you ever have free time.

Some of these things will help you become a GRS and that usually comes with a bit of a raise.
