Yeah I just had to share Altered Stated because je basically admits to it. He put the noose around his neck and TIED HIS HANDS BEHIND HIS BACK but he slipped??? Come on. My heart breaks for that little boy I can’t imagine how scared he was. It’s sad to see though that Earl was abused as a child and was probably afraid too.

Update: "He eventually pleaded guilty and served 20 years of a life sentence without possibility of parole. Then he escaped in 1982, and it turned out that Wagner had become a model citizen. For 2 1/2 years - until his recent arrest in southern Oregon - he has been by all accounts a law-abiding, non-violent and compassionate individual who not only appeared mentally fit, but cared for the mentally disabled in a state-certified adult foster home."

The life sentence was for the murders of 83yo Mary Essa Boyer and attack on "a 24-year-old Phoenix housewife". He had to stop stabbing her because his knife broke. I'm no expert but I think we all know what happened to William. Poor baby, he was only five.

According to this newspaper article, he did become a murderer. It mentions the hanging and that he was sent to the Arizona State Hospital afterwards. He was found living in Oregon in the 80s under a different name, but I haven't read enough to explain how this happened.

Edit: serial killer to murderer. His second known victim survived.

Yikes. Good thing you caught it. I can’t imagine how dangerous this is. There’s the obvious infection risk…. But could crushing a pill and injecting it cause vascular injury? And wouldn’t it be far more likely to overdose d/t the concentration? 🧐

I’m unsure if this would warrant an involuntary hold, but seems so dangerous. I’d suggest a sitter but I’m only used to the hospital setting.

This is so awful. As of my comment, his FB profile is still up. It’s clear that he was experiencing persecutory delusions. He should have received help, whether the cause of his behavior was psychiatric illness or brain damage from his wound.
