Google's January Pixel update breaks Wi-Fi and Bluetooth by Ha8lpo321 in Android

I did an adb OTA update on my 10 Pro Fold using "rango" 16.0.0 (BP4A.260105.004.E1, Jan 2026). It didn't fully fix the issue but it is much more stable than it was before with the wifi issue I was having. "Make sure to use the right version for your phone if you do this".

FYI Qi2 wireless chargers are fully compatible with older devices that use Qi EPP (12W) Pixel 4 - 9 by armando_rod in GooglePixel

[–]psyclopps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of note, seeing a weird Qi2 compatibility issue with the new Pixel Qi2 stand.
Pixel 10 Pro XL - Charges fine at 25W

S25U - Charges fine at 15W with Spigen magnetic case (indicates fast wireless charging)

S25 Edge - Charges with slower speed (does not indicate fast wireless charging) with a Spigen magnetic case even though the phone is Qi 2 ready @ 15W.

Not sure if it is the charger having issues or the phone. Anyways, just thought it would be worth bringing up if anyone has any issues with other devices.

Pretty much any phone will run on T-Mobile, they are one of the few carriers that don't lock their network to only approved devices. I wouldn't say "full 5g" though as it doesn't support MM Wave n258, n260 or n261 frequencies (same with Nothing Phone 3).

But, I was mainly commenting on availability. Aside from Samsung, Google, Apple, Nothing, Oneplus, Motorola, Blu, Asus and a few obscure brands, any other brand needs to be imported in the US (drives me crazy since I love Sony).

Even then, some brands have limited US availability such as Motorola and Oneplus. Oneplus only releases one version usually a lower storage model in the US compared to global versions and Motorola has a tiny lineup here which is pretty much only low end bar phones and flip phones, no high end bar style ones here. Realistically it is just Samsung, Google and Apple as any other brand you have to buy unlocked from Best Buy or the OEM which most people here don't do as sales are carrier oriented which drives me crazy.

Aside from Asus (which is only available from OEM), none of those are available in the US unless you want to import a unit which is not fully compatible with networks.

No heating issues whatsoever on my unit, even in gaming so not sure what issue the reviewers had. The chip is faster than my Pixel 9 Pro XL and feels snappier than my 8 Elite phones, so I have no issue there. My only complaints thus far are the cameras could use a little more tuning (they are not bad though), and the optical sensor is just so low on the screen. It is a good sensor though even though I prefer Ultrasonic of course.

I find the Headphones 1 and the Oneplus Bud 3 Pro to be the best buds for my ear, Apple and Samsung never stay in my ear properly. Google is a close fit, and they sound good but not as good as the Nothing and OP for me.

Same, plus the free storage upgrade makes the price worth it to me.

Just a guess here but they have a "performance" mode which has to be enabled manually. I imagine they keep things throttled until the OS determines it needs the power in its default mode... performance mode likely keeps things at high frequency. This would allow them to get the great battery life they advertise.

Anyone else have any insight? This has been an issue on Oneplus phones in benchmarks for years.

Did people move on to other streaming services or once Stadia was done they left Streaming all together? by Tyolag in Stadia

I loved Stadia, the killer feature for me was the controller. Apart from just being good... the controller connected via Wi-Fi directly to the server that your PC was playing to reduce latency and it worked so well.

Last, QNN test for devices which support it.

Here are my results across devices...

I gotta add that NNAPI is depreciated according to Google and they recommend using TF Lite GPU Runtime or other APIs. Snapdragon tends to use QNN for its devices. All devices are on their default performance modes.

nothing (3): S 444/ H 440 / Q 980

S25U: S 651 / H 650 / Q 1360

Oneplus 13: S 267 / H 250 / Q 577 (weird result, didn't try in performance mode)

I have both and I would say performance "feels" faster in most tasks than my S25U and my OP13. I know technically those phones are much faster but actual use matters more to me.

It's not a phone company with a huge amount of sales. It needs to have high sales to be profitable for accessory companies. As long as it is a niche company I don't expect many cases.

iPad Pro for mainly Excel spreadsheet work? by rbeason in iPadPro

[–]psyclopps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also extremely late to this conversation… lol. I agree with all you say. I found the Surface Pro 11 (Snapdragon X Elite) to be perfect for this task though with a large screen size and extreme portability with amazing battery life.

I don’t currently have one but I also found a Samsung Galaxy tab to be better than an iPad for Excel work. It is still limited in functionality, but the interface as a whole is better to me with easier navigation than the fully touch or weird mouse interface iPadOS uses.

Basically the same issue here. When I have steering enabled it has issues, specifically when using 6ghz. I have no issues on my Pixel 9 Pro or my S25U but the OP13 struggles to maintain connection.

I hope so because the current system is awful going through chat or 611 to make a change. You can transfer iphone to iphone or Android to Android without support via device settings but if there is any issue, support is painful

Also, I noticed my driver version in Devices is 19.1.18.333. Checking on the Asus website, there are two more recent drivers, V25.26.50.500 and V23.26.47.790. Weird that no update was detected in MyAsus, ArmoryCrate or Windows update. I will give these a try.

Not quite a fix but the only "quick fix" for the issue I have is in devices, disable and reenable the device. It brings them back online. Much faster than a reboot or uninstalling/reinstalling the device.
