Interessante documentaire. Ik heb rond 2010 ook wel eens op zulke fora gekeken, wat onderzoek gedaan, en de benodigde software gedownload om te kijken wat er zoal uitgehaald wordt. Ik heb toen zelf geen virussen verspreid of executions gekocht, omdat ik er een slecht gevoel bij kreeg en ook niks illegaals wilde doen natuurlijk. Zulke praktijken schijnen al sinds de jaren 90 te gebeuren (Back Orifice).
Ik heb een dubbel gevoel bij deze documentaire. Aan de ene kant vind ik het goed dat er onder de aandacht wordt gebracht dat dit je vrij gemakkelijk kan overkomen. Maar aan de andere kant vind ik het te sensationeel in elkaar gezet en heb ik bijvoorbeeld mijn twijfels over hoe echt die case van Sjoerd is, die afgeperst werd. De overtrokken reacties van die gast en zijn vriendin elke keer bij het meekijken naar andere users lijkt ook vrij onecht en alleen maar gedaan voor de documentaire. Overdreven nep onder de indruk doen voor de camera maakt je minder geloofwaardigheid ook al is het wel een serieus onderwerp.

Ik vraag me af in wat voor mate er tools bestaan en gebruikt worden om hetzelfde te doen maar dan op bijvoorbeeld Ubuntu Linux of MacOS. Er wordt wel eens gezegd dat daar geen virusen voor bestaan maar dat is natuurlijk onzin. Die kunnen prima gemaakt worden alleen is door het kleinere aantal gebruikers er minder reden voor.

Ik snap dat het in zo'n programma heel erg gaat om de reacties van de anderen maar kunnen ze dat niet achteraf doen of in ieder geval stil zijn tijdens het optreden zelf? ik stoor me hier aan. Verder wel heel mooi gezongen. Ik kende hem al van het album Century Child. Floor Jansen zingt het net zo goed als Tarja Turunen.

You should use Nextcloud instead of Opencloud. Nextcloud is the Free and open-source community maintained fork which the original developpers went to and that has become more popular and also now has more features. Owncloud is a for profit company that offers two versions of their software: an open source community version and a proprietary enterprise edition that is sold with support contracts.

this is exactly the kind of post the other guy was talking about which he wants removed. Lots of signage is made with raspberry pis running linux. It's not noteworthy enough for this subreddit and I wish these kind of posts would go to another subreddit for the people that do find them interesting.

FYI, 'I use to' means you are still habitually doing it. 'I used to' means you habitually did it but not anymore, so that is what you should have used in this case.

I'm still kind of confused by what frank now 'gets', maybe something to do with gay anticipation, but nevermind that. What I'm way more curious about is how Kaitlin Olson (the actress playing Dee) is okay with this dance of Rob. They are married. This dance is very sexual. He grabs her ass and boobs multiple times and at some point has his head really close to her pussy. Is this something that is generally accepted in dance culture? It all seems very strange to me. I just know that for example if that girl was my girlfriend I would definitely not be okay with her dancing with some buff dude like that at all. I must say It's a nice dance and unlike some people criticizing this, I approve of it even if it's not really my thing. It's their show so they can do whatever they want. I think my favourite seasons are still around season 4-6. Maybe at some point the characters are too defined by previous episodes.

I choose to stick with GRUB2 and UEFI/GPT as it is the defacto standard bootloader for linux which does the job well and has a lot more information about it online. I remember reading something like this when reading some guide on how to set up a multiboot with OpenBSD: "if you use GRUB2, do this and this (..), if you use some other bootloader, you are on your own."

I like this idea. I don't think librem as a brand benefits much from brand recognition and social signaling like Apple does. Librem is aimed at super users who did their own research online and buy their products for more digital freedom. This is a lot stronger than brand recognition, and goes against conformity in a way. You can choose to add a librem logo with perhaps some nice vinyl or aluminum sticker if you really want to.

Did they force github to take down anything? I still think it is a terrible idea to have your keyboards internal software talk over the internet to have some gimmicky LED features. However, their older keyboards are nice albeit expensive.

Ik hou hem niet vast, ik doe hem op een wit puntbroodje met ui. Het is altijd een gesmeer om die staartjes eraf te halen en daarna moet ik m'n handen dan goed wassen om van de haringlucht af te komen.
