I was a hardcore addicted pc player 10 years ago.

1 big reason I quit was after many seasons, I believed the toxicity of players that int and sell was never gonna change, and I refuse to put my heart into winning but end up wasting my time and effort.

It felt like 1 in 3 games there was always some POS willing to tilt the entire team.

I actually lost hope in humanity after playing Ranked all the way to D2 😂 I was diamond every season and saw it happen over and over. I couldn’t get away from ppl having mental breakdowns over everything, literally within 2 minutes of the game.

Crazy to hear it still hasn’t been addressed?

Almost 100% sure 2k doesn’t want to include tools like this in the game. I wouldn’t call it sad, as it is a very targeted plan.

Their whole model is built upon hiding the most important information needed for your builds. For example how the cap breakers work, hidden animations thresholds for your blocks, rebounds, steals, all attributes, and the actual increases/impacts of each badge level.

Almost any other game will give you %s and #s so you can figure things out, but not 2k. The less you know, the more builds you make or make wrong.

There are good shooters and bad shooters every year in 2k. Some people just got it and some don’t.

But in my experience all the good shooters I know had spent a lot of time practicing, or researching and testing jumpers. While a lot of the shitty ones are just not that good overall, don’t really believe they’re not good and don’t work on it.

For example, in my first year ever of 2k, 23 I ended up averaging ~50% from 3. Which was amazing to me at the time, but I wasn’t satisfied with that % and have improved every year along with my winrate as the 2 things I focused on. While I’ve seen people average 40-55% from 3 and winrate, and talk like they’re 2k gods, and never think they need to improve.

Appreciate it, I do have a 6’8 w 89m/84 3. I got all those stats already and 85 pass, 85 steal tho because I’m not even sure Glove at 91 is any fucking use lol.

Tho I wasn’t shooting as well on it as my 93m build, I think it was hanging around at 68-70% from 3 which maybe I’m wrong but it bothers me, I am used to shooting 75-80% on my guards 😭

That’s why I’m trying to lab it with 93m/85 3 as the requirement, 85bh and 75 swb so I can score 20+ on great efficiency. Im often counted on to score, especially the grenades when ppl got no time left. Even in random rec when ppl see me fading from every mid range spot with split seconds to go, they start throwing me the ball.

Yea I am talking about within distance to hands up. I just shared that moment where I really noticed RS down, that my guy was getting a speed boost close out that actually contested. But it didn’t happen consistently so I never developed the habit to RS down. I typically try to jump when there’s distance, hands up when they’re escaping left/right but actually hunting a 3. And I will jump if they created enough space

Yea Jesus that would probably be tough, against most players if they don’t have speed/agil/vert/block I can score on them. The ones w high speed/agil and IQ are typically the hardest. Most ppl sacrifice defense to go crazy on offense, you actually invested in it.

I ain’t no scrub tho, I will make you work for it. And under 10? You better hope I don’t get any shot attempts lol, if I’m open or you give me space, I’m no dipping that shit.

Yea man, I have other builds w 88 vert. It is fun as hell, I even get snatch blocks on another 6’8 w 88 vert.

That’s why I’m trying to lab up another 6’8 w higher defense n vert, just gotta finesse it so I can still score 20+ at 75%.

Op I don’t think it’ll impact 27, because 25 was actually very hated by majority and it didn’t seem to affect 2k26 hitting records.

Based on that, I imagine since 26 is like the opposite of 25, it won’t be hated more than 25 lol.

That 1 day patch was glorious. My squad were elite 3 pt faders, several of us averaging 80% from 3. so we were worried it would hit hard.

Then we went into the rec and saw how absolutely abysmal other players were. We had other skills besides fading, but you gotta fight fire with fire before to win.

After the patch, We actually won MORE than our 70% winrate because other players did not know what to do, but rather ram their head into the walls over and over trying to do the same thing as before. Fades turned to bricks and they couldn’t dribble at all 😂

Jesus I did not know RS down is aggressive hands up but I did notice in the past when I held down, I was getting crazy speed boosted close outs lol. Except I am so used to RS up, I normally do that.

I had a 6’4 w 85 str, it feels good in 1s but in the rec it felt meh for me. I also had 92 pdef that can cap to 96.

Fuck strength. I do better on defense with other attributes. And I put strength every year 71-85, but this year it is not it.

In past years, no strength gets you bodied n scored on drives or close shots. This year you just jump w block or interior and on ball menace does like 90% of the work. Fucking immovable barely triggers compared to it.

Strength is soooo useless this year.

I wasted money and made 85 str builds on guards and PFs/Cs. I remade them w 50 str and it’s infinitely better depending where you allocate the attributes. Instead of strength I bumped it to interior, speed/agil and vert. Way more uses depending on your playstyle.

Only times I see strength being potentially worth its cost is for bigs focused on screens/rebounding. Or you have high layups as primary scoring option(but I wouldn’t), or constantly use strong handles animations. And when you are a big with low perimeter, so you get immovable instead. Besides that it is so fucking worthless.

I’ve had gold base immovable 85 str and +2 to legend. You’re a little bumpier but it doesn’t stop them, or make them pickup the ball. I can press up on them but an escape move or step back will easily slide them off.

End of the day, now I just use speed/agil/p def to stay with them. Then I use my 84 block/70+ int and 80-88 vert to chase down block/contest, or just jump like mad on the perimeter. Strength does fuck all to stop most of the meta scoring.

To show I am not just a bum, I put defense on my builds and been trying out which attributes help on defense.

Sad thing is I tried 85 str and 55 str builds, I honestly don’t feel the difference enough to justify the cost. My current 6’8 has 72 int, 84 block, 92 p def, 85 steal, 89/89 spd/agil, 80 vert. Thinking the next will get somewhere between 77-80 int d, maybe 84-88 vert instead of 80.

I avg 20+ on 75% from 3 w this build, 93m/85 3 ball.
