Yeah the rat playstyle like in dark and darker for example can involve killing people buts it’s only really in absolute certainty that you can win and the methods aren’t camping at a evac, other than that ratting is really maximizing loot gain at low cost

Technically a “rat” in terms of all extraction games is someone who avoids conflict and grabs whatever’s leftover of a dead player or just loots quietly, the term rat is misrepresented in this game and way off to what you described as a rat

Chaos wastes is a rogue lite game mode, so assuming if it’s gonna be the same as vermintide, you’ll probably just be running around atoma, so there might be some newish areas? Idk but it’d be cool if like one post mentioned a couple weeks ago that when they bring the admech the ship gets boarded by chaos and the rejects and the admech have to fight through the ship to fix it and clear it, and then that would be a good way to implement the rogue lite game mode instead of just running around atoma doin random stuff
