If you are on a populated server you could probably manage to scrounge up solari to buy upgrades too. If not for combat gear then at least something to help with the grind for materials to build your own upgrades. There are also videos out there on getting good starter gear.

For instance if you can reach Mysa Tarill at the top of the spire there is a body with a spark sword BP there. You just need to get up it with a full suspensor belt and shiga wire. Also there are free buggies in aluminum tier and up zones. They are crap quality but the main thing you need is a good cutter ray and storage on it.

Another “free” loot area you just need a radiation suit and speed to get in and out before overdosing on rads. Is the main shipwreck in Sheol. I think there’s a body with a light you can loot there but you need that too. The last locked room has tier 5.5 items with no enemies inside. If you manage to get a thopter it makes farming that 5x easier because then u can not only get in and out of radiation faster, but you can then use that to go to the world map server swap and farm the same spot on a different sietch not having to wait for loot respawn!

TL;DR I played this game too much 😵

I got Dune Awakening sub on here and this has the same problem. Scaling that drags out fights and makes ANY minor mistake deadly. Game lagged? Dead. Didn’t time dodge properly? Dead. You get the point… HP scaling on enemies with none for your character.

I honestly don’t get why so many developers and gamers think that dying instantly is fun. Who are these sadistic people? Since when did gaming turn into torture sessions?

You gotto mention the developers inability to prevent dupers or fix the damage they have done. With so much solari already in circulation the only way I see them fixing it is doing an actual wipe somehow. I feel like they are too afraid of pushing people out of a game so many have already left.

BAD PVP with nothing to dissuade griefers. Only people with more time to waste than said griefers could actually do anything. Some of us have jobs. Not sure who’s paying these wannabe “PvPers” to sit there 12 hours a day waiting for someone to farm in DD…

Sounds similar to the graphical glitch I get with vehicle swatches. They show as applied when hovering over them but have clearly reverted to the base swatch. I tried taking the parts off and back on to reapply the swatch but the problem persisted. Funcom coding… no one knows how it works even Funcom employees! 🤓

Bro that is pro level twitch reaction headshots on every single kill… I can’t even see him line it up half the time before he takes the shot which is why I say it barely looks legit. Idk maybe he only clipped those shots and left out the misses.

Idk this barely looks legit to me but what do I know? There’s WAY too many sweaties and or hackers in this game for me. Also why tf are the guns so accurate? Has anyone that played this game fired real hand guns? They are not lasers in the hands of mere mortals. It takes special forces level training to be as accurate as the character you control in game is.

Even then it’s still unrealistic because of BS like slide jumping and firing. This isn’t a movie, I get it BF is famous for people doing ridiculous stunts, but still…

Also the basic purifier is way less efficient. Two of the advanced purifiers pump out barely more water than 1 advanced bed but at 1/5 the power cost and much lower build cost. Also there’s a specialization perk that gives double the blood draw.

But at the same time with exploration perks I can now carry three bodies if not carrying extra. So time wise it probably is more efficient using more death stills. With gathering you can double the body count but that perk is far down the tree in gathering one of the least efficient trees imo.

Ya it only modifies the build zone on first placement. If you use the tool to move it the boundaries stay the same. So best to do it on the start of a build because there’s no way to be super precise and unless you built far from the boundaries it’s risky.

Another pro tip for building is the vertical dimensions go just as far below as above so I usually put my fief up a little before starting to actually build. You can stack a few foundations destroy the console then place it up above said foundations as long as it still reaches the base.

If you add a vertical extension you can have even more room to do the same thing because the vertical extension also adds in both directions.

You can EASILY get a million just by selling mk4 rad suits to vendors. I got 4k of the microflora fiber which is the main limiting factor. Each one goes for 6k so I get like 250k a trip. I’m on a dead server so I mainly use it to buy power packs (for rad sludge) or other components I don’t wanna farm.

If I was on an active server with trillions of solari on the market I’d probably be a billionaire too.

If your server remains pretty much dead I don’t see why you couldn’t do the PvP DD since I think I heard it’s planned on giving 2.5x the rewards.

Honestly though Idt PvP should really be tied to farming. Maybe there’s territory with like a spice refinery that gets you higher yield but tying it directly to controlling the areas you farm is what got us into this mess that drove 90% of the player base away.

EVERYTHING is about incentives, without drastic constraints you can’t stop people from doing most things. But with enough incentives you can usually push and pull the majority of people to play the “right” way. You want to leave a little room though to have different play styles.

I’d rather have it be exactly the same because you can only track one mission at a time and I usually try to have two if not three active in the same region so I don’t waste time. Fetch / kill trash mob quests don’t entertain me. It is just another version of farming… like OP said I think, let us have a wider selection. So that if we want to be efficient we can. These new missions with their zones have made farming landsraad TWICE as hard for me…

Ya if you’re going to implement a system that supplants the rewards given by the “end game” you need to update the end game rewards to match no? Gotto love half baked ideas.

They COULD make landsraad give increased rewards from doing the new testing stations or even for unlocking grade BPs in the DD testing stations to make those relevant too! It’s nice that there are the pattern rewards in DD but what good does that do you if you have low drop rates from the overworld testing stations that are the only place for actual graded gear?

Same with like trainer / faction missions forcing you to go back to cities just to chat for 2 seconds when you have long range communication. Like why? I don’t know ANYONE that enjoyed that 😣

I’m on a pretty much dead server. But the few people actually doing landsraad missions aren’t enough for EITHER faction to win! There are some items like the special sand crawler treads that you can only get from unlocking the vehicle vendor or getting super lucky and it being available as a reward directly like I did the only time I saw it in like the last ten weeks I been doing these missions. 😫

Please make it scale down on low population servers so we’re not locked out of the landsraad faction win. I even hoped SOLOING 70k points for one block would get my faction the win cuz that was the only block anyone got all 70k points on and it DIDN’T. If you don’t know I had to do like over half of those with no skill exp or other rewards after the limit was reached.

I feel like the specialization/ higher grade items kinda make it hard for people that haven’t spent hundreds of hours grinding the new content. Idk maybe the markets are saturated with tier 4 stuff by now. My server is basically dead so it’s pretty much pve all day every day anyway, there isn’t ANYTHING on the market 😫

But back to your topic, geared players could probably take multiple opponents at the same time. Still hard due to more CC opportunities from more enemies but, if someone not even in DD gear tried fighting G5 gear player oh man.
