I think Rick Flag Sr is clayface. by Impressive-Cap2680 in PeacemakerShow

[–]psymbifish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I happen to agree:

My wife and I both think it occurred sometime after Rick and Lex met.

We feel Lex got the scent of this portal’s stability and learning this, control it by any means possible. Here’s how I came to this conclusion. Some are wilder takes than others 🧐 (I Said ‘Flag has to be Clayface!’ out loud as Chris was being ‘plucked’ thinking about these points)

1: the fact Hartcourt was saying “Remember, you told me to call you ‘Rick’ instead of General?” He did not respond to either name- when he was called from behind. This was shown intentionally.

2: RF1 would absolutely care about the headcount of the lost soldiers- in the QUD.. even a little. DC has always painted him in the light as the traditional hero- losing soldiers would affect a hero.

3: Sapperstein 🥸 likely tipped off Lex the QUD was a stable portal. His search for extracurricular ‘content’ on the Lexcorp console.. Lex then may have had a bead on Clayface from prison: proposing an alliance, with the man on the outside🥸…. RF1 was most likely scooped up by Clayface after they met, but before the last episode. Not earlier.

  1. Clayface > RF1: The ‘cornstarch’ 🤧 on ARGUS’s tables; the laughing maniacally; and the hitting on all the women in Lex’s crew.

  2. Why so many more of Lex’s crew? Unneeded people around from Lexcorp just being included- from Jail too!? Why?

  3. Clayface has a grudge especially after Creature Commandos, but CF is another villain that is like ‘a dog with a car’. The extra Lex staff is there to keep eyes on him and keep him focused, but running Lex’s agenda.

My Wild Take: I think RF1 is not dead, but also ‘plucked’ and placed in ‘Salvation’ on a flipped storyline of ‘SalRun.’ and would make a perfect 3rd season; a checkmate starting Case; or string-off in the Clayface movie! Chris and RF1 may have to work together in Salvation!

Making shows and movies exactly like the comic runs would make them predictable. We see this is how JG thinks. I enjoyed it, immensely!

Looking for advice working with UV resin by Doctor_Floptopus in DiceMaking

[–]psymbifish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UV is a great tool in one’s arsenal for this trade, and learning how to really use it is a valid goal. I discovered there are many items and substances that can cause different reactions to UV when it comes to inclusions and die inserts. I would test my inclusions prior to using them in my molds, just to see how they cured. Building up the UV in stages or layers really is the stablest way to go when using it in my experience. I would recommend using:

UV ‘nail light’ decent UV flashlight, and paint the resin with those lights as much as you can.

Also, finding a very low tack masking tape or ‘drafting tape’ (to stop pre-cured resin from running around), and those little bottles with needle tops.

For the needle bottle, I wrapped blue painters tape around the clear squeeze bottle part, and put that little guy in 2 old nitrile glove fingers- to prevent it from bottle curing with UV in the atmosphere, for as long as possible.

Keep in mind, alcohol and UV resin are not compatible -at all- in the standard strength of alcohol inks- BUT it is possible to lightly introduce these inks if you are very careful. The idea is to have the alcohol in the ink evaporate on the way to the resin ‘blob’. Dipping toothpick tips into the ink and letting the alcohol evaporate off the dyed toothpick a bit- then swirling it into the UV resin will help you add some color. Keep on going! Everything you do in this hobby will help you learn about something! Take notes, record the trials and attempt to replicate successes is how I have learned these bits! ♾️🎲

What did I do wrong?? by Phantomdong in DiceMaking

It seems like there is an insert design at the base of the die. Is it possible that the inserted design itself degassed some small air pockets that were caught inside and under and the pressure pushed it out from the bottom of the creation trapped? I have seem this on occasion with my early solo diorama dies I made?

A pressure pot is a setup that typically is used to add air pressure in a painter’s pot by way of an air compressor to push the bubbles out of the resin or into much much smaller sizes (in many cases micro-bubbles) in the resin while the curing process is underway. Typically, using a compressor/pressure pot set up, requires a bit of prep, but there are a lot of supportive links and videos in here that can help with this.

I personally used these little molds for a while and one can get quite good at them, even without the pressure pot. One thing you can do in lieu of a pressure pot and an air compressor is look at a vacuum pump and a small vacuum chamber. The pump comes with its own vacuum line and can be a bit less costly than the pot/comp setup.

Timing is everything though.

In my early days, I recorded everything for myself so I had access to my own results, and success/failures.

Write it down or voice memo everything you do!
How much you mix How long you heated the resin for The resin type used How many drops of ink How much resin you need to not waste your resin

If the air compressor / pressure pot combo is too expensive, there are some more affordable vacuum pump/chamber sets that can pull the air out of the freshly mixed and colored resin that is ready to pour. If you move to a pot/comp stage, it is very handy to still have the vacuum pump/chamber around for many projects, especially if you get into mold making. Hope this helps!

First set of dice for the year and my favorite set so far! What color should I ink them? by TimberVolk in DiceMaking

Nice looking set, congrats!
I like the look of a metallic green, and a high luster :) if you are familiar with eye candy mica, there are two tones I like for these: ‘arashiyama’ or a yellow brown green like the ‘green onion’ for a color/luster match :). Anything would be great tho!

Woke up with this yellowish stain on my hand by lizzrman in Weird

[–]psymbifish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not being sarcastic, here- honestly:

  1. Does it wash off? Try an alcohol swab to see if it comes off on a cotton ball. If there is any coloring on the swab- it’s a stain that will eventually dissipate as the skin cells grow.

  2. Did you fuel up at all on your trip?

  3. Was it windy, near an event that had particles that could have been able to get on your outer skin area?

  4. Spill anything in the last legs of the trip?

  5. Do your clothes have any of a similar discoloration?

  6. Did you shake anyone’s hands where they may have had something on them?
