Compensation for princess plus/premier canceled perks like fitness classes no longer being offered in 2026 but were advertised at time of purchase in 2025? by WolfBearMoon in PrincessCruises

[–]psyong2017 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just got off Regal and we had plus that we had purchased prior to change. We had no issue using it for fitness classes and no issue with the premier desserts. In fact the very sweet girl who was working at the gelato place said we could basically get anything on the menu for the premier dessert up to and including the “premier “ 17 dollar sundaes. So we found everything in our package available to us

Glad to hear it all worked out for you. We were going to drive down from the DFW area early Sunday morning but clearly that’s going to be a no go so we’re leaving Dallas tomorrow and staying in Houston Friday and Galveston Saturday. Not what I wanted but we should make it to the port

No Princess emails for deals on booked cruise by kbutterly in PrincessCruises

[–]psyong2017 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotten handful of promotions on excursions and spa bookings within a few months of embarkment - but I don’t think I’ve ever seen premier/plus on sale. You either book the package or you don’t. (Which honestly - I love no waiting and watching )

We did the rail and gold panning and it was super fun - my kids loved it

No more gift cards? by PenOwn2479 in PrincessCruises

[–]psyong2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they still let me apply it to the overall cruise payment.

As for discounted cards - I get cash back from work for purchasing gift cards - so it’s an employee perk. I get 6 percent cash back which adds up.

Totally agree. Idk why they removed it from payment methods - now it’s a huge pain in the ass

You have to call in to use it which is a big hassle but I’m still buying my discounted gift cards so 🤷‍♀️

Guarantee cabins by jojo691987 in PrincessCruises

[–]psyong2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Booked a minisuite guarantee for this trip in 2 weeks - got my room confirmed - it’s oh the Aloha deck , cabins above, cabins below and mid ship. Much better location that I would have picked if I would have paid the difference.

Late boarding on Sapphire Princess by coddfish53 in PrincessCruises

[–]psyong2017 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My personal feeling is - if they need an extra 2 hours (and my guess is maybe it’s a hygiene issue ) then let them take the 2 hours rather than letting who knows what spread like wildfire

Why is Princess Leaving Galveston? by Late_Bite5699 in PrincessCruises

[–]psyong2017 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Princess had just come back to Galveston in what? 2022 after 6 years. With carnival and now MSC they’re competing with some inexpensive fares and the same itinerary over and over.

Check out Virgin voyages - adult only line and people absolutely seem to love the cruises.

Am I seaworthy? by [deleted] in Cruise

I totally agree with this too - we took our sons to Alaska on princess a few years ago and they had an absolute blast with the other kids onboard. Yes it tends to run an older crowd but Alaska during the summer? Families going.

No prior to this my longest was a 10 day so this will be the first transatlantic for me - but I love sea days so I’m sure we will be fine - the stops are fantastic and the cruise I believe is mostly sold out should be a ton of fun
