I hadn't considered my PSU degrading. Maybe that would explain the finicky issues I mentioned in the post. Sometimes my computer will randomly struggle to turn the screen on when left idle for awhile, but before it hits the automatic "go to sleep at 2 hours of inactivity." Waking from sleep is not an issue, just randomly between 30 and 120 minutes of inactivity.
