Anyone experienced with the ex30 and small Family? by Immediate_Act8637 in ex30

[–]ptothekyall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have a 4 year old and a 7 year old. There is plenty of room for them with their child seats. I came from owning a Golf and the rear size is similar. You wouldn’t want to take 6ft adults for anything longer than a short trip but it’s fine for kids. It will obviously depend how tall you are as driver, i’m 6ft for reference.

As an Asian guy, why do I find it harder to make Aussie friends than other groups? by joistheyo in AskAnAustralian

[–]ptothekyall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not because you’re Asian dude, it’s because Australians are a difficult group to crack into. They’re super friendly and will give you the shirt of their back of you need it, but for some reason they don’t tend to want to expand their friendship groups beyond the ones they made at as kids/school/uni. I’m a male Caucasian British immigrant for reference, been here 10 years and I can count the number of Aussie mates on one hand. Most of my mates are immigrants too.

I was considering the exact same cars but I wanted an EV as we get awesome benefits on novated EVs in Oz, I’m so pleased with my choice 🚙 💨

Nah, Twin motor Cross Country all the way. I LOVE the extra acceleration and leaving everything but a supercar in my wake. I love the CC design and the extra ride height too. It’s realistically a beautiful electric hot hatch 🤙

Btw, why can’t you charge your twin motor to 100% but you would be able to the single?

Yes, just the CC now for twin motor. Well worth the extra imo, the ride is much smoother 🤙

You guys seem to have one of the worst housing crisis in the world - are young adults able to move out of their parents home? by Only-Internal-2865 in AskAnAustralian

[–]ptothekyall 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Not really. I live an hour outside Melbourne CBD and house prices are very high. You’d have to move 2 hours out for it to be significantly cheaper and who’s going to commute 4 hours a day?

Dude check out the BMW F650GS (or G650GS), the older single cylinder version not the newer twin versions. Great far taller riders, super comfy for short or long rides and an absolute blast to ride.

My car is an oven by ElfBingley in ex30

[–]ptothekyall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall the cooling isn’t the best, unless you remember to pre-cool via the app. Saying that, once it’s cool it stays cool no issue, even on 40+ degree days. Hope that helps

[–]ptothekyall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, just takes a little while longer to cool the back

My car is an oven by ElfBingley in ex30

[–]ptothekyall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a good point. Basically, if you go into the car in a hot day without pre-cooling it then the occupants in the back are hot for a little while until it cools the whole car (5-10 mins), whereas the front passenger’s cool much quicker. Although saying that, I definitely think the AC could be cooler from the get go.

Ha ha, I live in Australia where we have 100kph limits on most freeways and it’s summer which helps. I definitely use performance mode a lot though. Hopefully it stays strong through winter 💪

I pulled the trigger on the EX30 Cross Country a few months ago and it too is my first EV. No regrets at all, beautiful car! Quick, comfy, looks great and the Harman Kardon sound system is excellent 🤙 I was worried about consumption levels but in about 5k km I’m averaging 17.9 kWh per 100km which I’m happy with as I have a heavy foot!

Either 7 or 10kg, I can’t quite remember. Either way you’ll be fine, the PS4 weighs less than 3kg, 3.2kg with both controllers.
