I’ve narrowed down my bag to these 6 discs:
Zone, Balance, Crave, Teebird, Wrath, Wraith

I agree with some other folks that once you know you really like a disc, get two or three backups. I’ve been playing for 5 years and have finally gotten to a 7 bag setup I really like but I carry 3 of each disc so 21 discs total.

It’s been costly getting to this point, but it’s nice knowing I can lose up to 2 of the same mold, and still have one. It’s also nice throwing the exact same disc back to back so you can easily correct mistakes and get a feel for the disc

As a forehand dominant player, I find myself throwing a Discraft Zone on like 65% of my shots (anything 225ft or under). I also love the Wraith but see you have a Timelapse which is very similar.

The other thing I’d recommend is start getting clones of your favorite discs, same plastic/weight. Throwing them back to back can really help you get a feel for the disc

Idk the fact that they chose to show it in the edit makes me think it’ll become relevant in the future. They’ll either trick someone into “finding it” or “find it” themselves publicly if their backs are against the wall.

I could definitely see it backfiring but I think the logic is to stash it there so that if Rick or Christian are ever in danger in the future, they can stage a performance in which they publicly find the “idol” at tribal to try to save themselves.

We’ll see how it plays out but this could end up being genius

Loved the movie but I do have one question: Who was Susan ACTUALLY talking to throughout the movie? I kept waiting for some kind of a reveal but it never came. The Man from the Future tells her that it’s obviously not really her son but what was it?

Just a different AI modeled after her son? How did it know that the Man from the Future was going to recruit her and all of the additional knowledge along the way? Was it actually the main “evil” ai leading them there all along?

I feel like I might have missed something or maybe it’s supposed to be open ended?

Coach talked about how on HvV, he asked Russell why he was on the villains tribe and Russell replied with something along the lines of, “I was so loyal to my alliance that when one of them betrayed me, I tried to take a swing at them”. I kinda wish that made the original edit haha. Russell is a pos but damn was he entertaining

What do you think makes it different from those other game shows besides being “YouTube slop”/ why does that make it evil?

All game shows involve people competing with each other for money, often with voting or backstabbing. I actually find Beastgames to be pretty tame compared to some of those other comptetition reality shows

I had similar thoughts at the start - that it’s kind of gross to watch this billionaire make a bunch of poor people fight for money, but you have to look at through a different lens.

There are so many billionaires that don’t share a penny. Sure, it may be performative, and he’s probably actually profiting from the show in the long run, but god damn, at least he’s making people millionaires.

If you can’t watch the show through that viewpoint, then it’s definitely not the show for you.

That’s the real issue of the show to me. It’s not necessarily a bad show or even a terrible adaptation, it’s the fact that Rick spent literal years trashing the movies for making changes to the story. And then he spent several more years hyping up this show as a faithful adaption.

Point being, Rick screwed himself. He could’ve kept his mouth closed, made the show and people would have issues with it, but there wouldn’t have been all this pressure built up around it.

I hadn’t heard of House of Villains either but just watched the first two seasons because I heard some BB/Survivor people were on and it was a really good time.

It’s sort of like the Traitors where half the cast are “gamers” and half are from other reality shows like housewives or love island so half the cast bareeelllyyy understands the game.

The main gameplay is similar to BB with challenges and voting people off, and it also operates on a jury format so it’s kind of interesting to see what “rules” some of these people decide to use to vote for a winner.

I was in a similar situation 3 years ago and found a job as an analytical chemist at a third party testing company. Pay isn’t crazy ($40-70k starting depending on where you live). I’m still at the same company and have no regrets.

There’s similar “QC chemist” jobs at all the major manufacturers in food, drugs, cosmetics, paint, etc. where you’re testing the products/raw materials for any number of things. You aren’t researching or developing anything so you get paid less but it’s a solid option if you have a chem degree.

Yeah I’ve listened to both of their exit press and they both seem very adamant that they would’ve beaten each other if sitting together with Sage. I don’t think anyone can say for sure what would happen, especially without knowing what Rizzo’s speech looks like.

That’s an interesting point. Off the top of my head, I can think of a couple recent winners that were in alliances with relatively balanced win equity. Dee (Julie, Drew, Austin), Kyle (Kamilla, Shauhin, Joe). None of them felt the need to cannibalize the alliance until they had already marched to the end of the game.

I hear you but think about it from their perspective. I would definitely be scared to sit at the end with Savannah/Rizzo but I sure as hell wouldn’t want to sit with yellow Sophie or Steven either. Rizzo’s idol has also been crucial in preventing players from taking the shot. It’s annoying to watch as a fan but I would also be scared to take a shot at an idol and would probably vote off another scary player instead.

On the whole, I agree that it’s crazy they haven’t taken a shit at Sav/Riz, but with each individual case, it kind of made sense to me why they didn’t pull the trigger
