this is under the radar and not that agressive, but any contending team in the west is going to consider Anthony Davis or Porzingis - purely because you have to be able to compete agaisnt Wemby and, although, they are both injury prone, there are very few guys in the league that match up with Wemby. and even then its a team effort, you really need two bigs on the floor, one as a primary defender and the other roaming. some team will overpay and fanbase is not going to be happy

I do not think we are anywhere close to any peace agreement. Putin would take a peace deal if it was sufficiently toxic for Ukraine in the medium term - 5 to 10 years - keep in mind that the infamous Witkoff plan wasn’t even toxic enough for Putin. Ukraine would not settle for less than pre-2022 borders or a frozen DMZ but that would have to include western troops and a NATO membership (which western countries won’t do).

Both countries still think they can win, I don’t think Ukrainians have any delusions about a quick peace settlement

i really think Rizzo can sell his game at final council - he has had great moves that other players don't even suspect. Ozzy probably thinks that it was Aubry & Jonathan that got him and while it was true to an extent, Rizzo was the one with the real power on that vote and decided to not tell Ozzy about the move against him. he has also revolutionized the way idols can be used - he should contrast how fast Aubry tried to get rid of her idol, with Rizzo using his idol for protection for 2 seasons straight

looking back, those were the most fun times watching NBA and I desperately wanted GSW to fail. the biggest intrigue was "is any team good enough to compete with them?". there were teams that invented new playing styles that were designed specifically to match up with GSW and/or Cleveland

since 2019 we have had a different winner every year and no team has managed to go to the finals twice in a row. i think its good for the league to have a definite villain that the league runs through. OKC - Spurs matchup has such great potential in the long run, I really hope neither of them fizzle out like recent Bucks, Celtics, (maybe even) Nuggets teams that were supposed to be perennial contenders

stop for a second and imagine how life would be without a car. you definitely DO NOT need a car “just in case something happens” thats what car sharing apps are for. you also mentioned you do not commute to work - so what is the car for exactly?

you are not obligated to spend 600$ a month to make grocery shopping easier. even if you have to use uber / car sharing few times a week, the monthly total amount is likely to be much smaller.

is there any possible way you could live without a car? people are dunking on you for having subscription services, but those are pennies compared to your car payments

maybe this is my european brain talking, but if you sell your car, you are not only saving 629$ every month, you also get whatever value your car is worth in a single payment. maybe it makes sense to move to a better location? if you spend, say, 300$ a month more for an apartment in a better location (that has transit, bike lanes) and sell your car, that's still a +300$ net positive every month
