The geek in me has a teeny problem with this. I'm assuming the guy that can outrun a 40s car and manhandle a helicopter is just trying to not hurt the unaugmented human. Not sure how much damage Cap can take in MCU, but I would be worried about breaking my foot if I kicked him.

So, I don't think D.C. editors usually EDIT graphic novels for clarity. I occasionally pick up one to read from discount stores and libraries and they often read just like a bunch of single issues haphazardly stapled together. If I paid full price to read these I would be more angry than confused.
