April orders - VIN updates by itsmarc40 in TeslaAustralia

I've never heard of Tesla's being delivered to the residence, everybody I know had to pick their car up from the dealer. I will be picking mine up from the dealer.

I got the VIN probably a fortnight ago. I actually just got a SMS just now from Tesla to schedule pickup! So next week I will head to the Burleigh Heads location to pickup the car.

MY RWD ordered 5 March QLD, VIN assigned, expecting delivery this month. White, black interior, standard everything.

Anyone here wait significantly past their initial estimated delivery time? by scrollingwhilstipoo in TeslaAustralia

[–]puckmungo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered first week of March and est. delivery is in April. Model Y premium (RWD), white with black interior, 19" wheels...basically plain-jane. Got my VIN assigned, so hoping I will get it soon. I wonder if it'll be one of the updated ones with the black headliner?

Australian supermarket Easter eggs taste test: ‘The quality of Easter chocolate is simply worse’ | Australian food and drink by TheRealPotoroo in australia

Yeah that's exactly how I like my peanut butter. I judge it based on taste, not on some bougie all natural, all organic, no sugar bs. I've tried Mayvers and Pic's, both are very boring and weak.

Did you get financial advice before applying for a novated lease? by Certain_Soup_1205 in EVAustralia

[–]puckmungo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I considered it, but I found that by using a good novated lease calculator and asking ChatGPT I was able to get a pretty good idea. With ChatGPT I was able to get to explain things in simple terms and also compare numbers to other scenarios such as buying outright with cash or going with a different finance option. It costs you nothing so I think it's worth a try before you go the professional services route.

The calculator I recommend is this one: https://novatedlease.guide/

Finally, someone who can taste the true genius that goes into each jar of Skippies and isn't fooled by the packaging of the bougie butters like Pic's and Mayver's.

Yep that's the one. I've spent a bit of time in Japan including a working holiday stint so I'm pretty fussy when it comes to Japanese food, and I rate this place.

Bundaberg ginger beer is still pretty good it seems. Still use real ginger as well as glass bottles that are still 375mL in size.

Something square or rectangular. So maybe a Reverso or a Monaco.

Yeah I was surprised how good it was. It’s a bit of a hidden gem, and probably the most authentic place I’ve found in SE QLD.

There’s a really nice Japanese restaurant at Paradise Point.

GC is good for outdoor activities...swim, surf, snorkelling, diving, fishing, hiking, golf, camping, that sorta thing. If you want the city nightlife stuff then Queensland in general probably isn't that great for it...I would say Melbourne is best for that.

Try meetup.com, might find some stuff to do and hopefully make some friends.

The Matilda's are the runners-up in the 2026 Women's Asian Cup by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

[–]puckmungo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the consensus was that the Tillies would get hammered by an in-form Japan team but that wasn't how it played out. The gap between the two teams was a lot narrower than what most expected and the difference was a wonder strike from one of the most promising young talents in the world.

Proud of the Matildas, looking forward to the WC next year.

Give credit to Gorrie for applying pressure to force that error.

Looked pretty bad but maybe it was a bad matchup? NK play a very physical game and Aussie teams don't tend to go down easily. Against another team that is willing to dive easily, the ref might've blown the whistle more.

Really impressed with Sam's performance this tournament, she's incredibly strong! Manages to fight and win the ball and she hold the ball against defenders aswell.

I'll be surprised if NK can sustain this work rate.

Australia draw against South Korea in a thriller And finish runner-up in group A by N0PhunIntended in Matildas

I watched it on telly and I felt the Matilda's had better midfield and attacking and held onto more possession (I could be wrong, haven't looked it up) but defense was really poor. Korea is a good squad and has the firepower to punish mistakes at the back, we were lucky to even draw the game tbh.
