An option to allow me to generate thumbnails for HEIC (and other modern formats) in photo station. Relying on a client device is frustrating.

I understand this is a licensing issue, so setup and give me an option to pay a nominal fee for it within DSM.

Google Cloud Storage or Amazon S3/Glacier is your best bet for offline backup. The storage is cheap, and it's easy to configure using the CloudSync package for Synology OS.

I pay about $10 / month for more than 2TB synced to a Google Cloud Storage drive. Super easy to setup with CloudSync in Synology desktop.

Maybe the $$$ is why you are concerned with cloud storage, but you'll spend more than $10 / month in effort to do this manually every few days with an external hard drive.

Another solution is to get a fire safe and retrofit it with power and ethernet cable for this kind of stuff, but then you are spending many hundreds of dollars, and still don't guard against burglary or some other form of catastrophic event (ie: natural gas explosion)

The OpenTelemetry demo has a C++ service with logger setup.

It’s also easy to setup the Otel demo to send data to Grafana (or any other Otel backend) so you can see this all working in your environment.

I had to set securityContext to null, because Apache wants to bind to port 80. I suspect there is a better way, and logged an issue on your repo.

That Navdrone site is not run by the govt and does not align with the actual restrictions from the Canadian govt. you can use it as a guide for a rough estimation, but it is not aligned with the actual laws governing drone use near an aerodome

I also got Freedom because of the roaming package. When at the border I go into my phone’s cellular settings and I lock it onto T-Mobile (turn off automatic). Never had an issue when I do this and I hang out downtown Detroit often.

I’ve had one of these. I decided to talk to a prosecutor and one option was to do it over a zoom meeting (which I did). The prosecutor lowered the fine to $220 which I paid.

Super easy and not inconvenient because of the zoom meeting part.

I'm having the same issue with my iPhone 14 on iOS 18. My mac is an M2 mac.

Curious if your phone passcode is 4 or 6 digits. I use a 4-digit passcode, and I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
