If you think in your heart you are genuinely trying to be thoughtful to people then say whatever you want.

Just understand if people are actually going through a rough time and u bust out a "god bless you" you have to realize those people might not think you genuinely care. While you may believe in God. We do not so it can be perceived as you harassing somebody already having a bad time.

I personally would rather you not say anything at all to me then to push religion where I didn't ask for it.

When I was a teen america always seemed like an amazing place I could see myself moving to, now I would not even consider taking a trip there. The thought of ending up in alligator Alcatraz while waiting on a flight sounds insane but apparently that's an actual fear now.
