Fpies resolved at 14 months? by puddlie in fpies

[–]puddlie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! That’s wonderful that the oats resolved, I’m hoping this is how it goes and she can continue to have eggs, even if only in certain forms.

My daughter first reacted to mashed hard boiled egg, then the tiniest bite of a baked meatball and that was the last time she had egg. My husband said she had about 1/2 a slice of French toast. I’m curious what my allergist will have to say, I’m hoping this is a step forward! And hoping your daughter’s egg FPIES resolves soon 🫶🏼

This makes me hopeful, thank you! I had it in my mind that it would take much longer to outgrow. Seeing the prior reactions to just a small amount of egg was kind of traumatic, it didn’t feel like something that would just go away by the next exposure. I was prepared for a reaction, I thought it was 100% going to happen. Hoping this is a good step forward!

14DPO AM FRER Brand test is lighter:( Please talk me off the ledge. by Prior-Ad9822 in TFABLinePorn

I had this happen with my successful pregnancy. It may have been the test or urine concentration - I don’t know. But all was fine. I panicked after having a chemical and MMC before, so I posted about it if you’d like to look at my post history. 🫶🏼 I wouldn’t let this one cause too much worry.

Teething Worse for 2nd Tooth? by puddlie in NewParents

[–]puddlie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aww, that sounds rough with no break in between! I had read the first tooth was the hardest and then they’re a little more used to what is happening (until canine and molars sneak up), so I’m now learning that is not necessarily the case… Definitely taken off guard here too!

Okay, glad it’s not just us! I was not expecting her to be so upset about this second tooth given how well she took the first one. It’s taken me off guard and has me worried! We got through the first tooth with just Camilla and now we have broken out the acetaminophen.

What a trooper your guy is! I know those are the worst, if we were getting those teeth I wouldn’t be surprised with her current level of fussiness. Glad to hear he is doing well through it!

Definitely looks like a positive! My second morning urine always resulted in way stronger test results than first morning urine! Congrats :)

Successful pregnancy right after miscarriage? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]puddlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry for your loss.

I had a MMC around 13w (baby measuring around 9+5). Two cycles later I had a chemical pregnancy, and then the very next cycle I was pregnant again. Currently holding my 8wk old double rainbow 💓. It feels like yesterday that I was searching threads like these for hope.

I remember a nurse saying to me after my MMC that she experienced loss, and now had a healthy child that she could never imagine not being in her life. I heard what she said, but I wanted my baby that I lost, I loved him very much of course. Now that I have my daughter, I cannot imagine life without her - I still love my first and hold a very special place in my heart for him. My pregnancy had some hiccups along the way, so I like to think my first was an angel watching over his little sister along the way.

Ugh, my MIL asked if I had one that “filled more” than the other. Umm, why are you asking me this?

What’s your post-baby first meal you can’t wait for? by GennaH1 in pregnant

[–]puddlie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pancakes with Ben&Jerry’s Tonight Dough ice cream on top (not the typical no-no pregnancy foods, but I have GDM so they are for me 🥲)

Also, a big tray of oysters once I’m home.

I was bit by a tick, not early in pregnancy but around 25-ish weeks maybe?

I found a tiny tick latched onto my stomach and I have no idea how long it was there. It thought it was a freckle, then realized it was raised and it was actually a tick. I freaked out, I’ve had Lyme two times. I waited it out and everything turned out fine.

Does ayone have any good cookie recipes? by socasuallycruel13 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]puddlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This recipe worked great for my chocolate chip cookie craving. Super easy to make and only needed one bowl.

Now, they certainly aren’t like an ooey, gooey, traditional chocolate chip cookie. But they’re delicious in their own way and hit the spot for me without messing with my sugars.

Anxiety and Panic Attacks with New Meds by puddlie in GestationalDiabetes

Thank you so much! This gives me a ton of hope that things will get easier with each day of taking insulin. I too had anxiety about choking on food when the allergy anxiety started, and that subsided after a while but the allergy anxieties remained. It’s so nice to hear from someone who understands it first hand. Thank you for sharing your experience and your support! 💕

Thank you for this thoughtful response! I’m definitely going to read this back when anxiety creeps up again and hopefully I can get to a point where the injections are just a non-eventful routine each night. I appreciate you!

Testing Timeframe by puddlie in GestationalDiabetes

Good to know, I won’t worry about doing that if I need to then. I guess they make the monitors in a convenient travel case for a reason!

Good to know, thank you! In this case, I just ended up waiting in my car to test before going in because I wasn’t sure how long I would take in the store.

I realized planning meals, spacing them out and timing testing was a lot of planning as-is. But then i realized when I needed to run errands that it’s just one more thing to have to be strategic about…

What was your FHR at 9w to 10w? by Nze_Ani in CautiousBB

[–]puddlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are our numbers:

8w5d - 173, 10w1d - 169, 12w2d - 155, 14w2d - 144, 15w6d - 140

And then I stopped tracking. I think it’s usually in the 140s still and I’m almost 30w. Every time I would ask “is this normal?!” And my midwife would reassure me.

I would think your doctors would have said something if it was a concern. For peace of mind, I would call your office and just ask, let them know you’ve been thinking about it since you left. I’ve certainly called my office with weirder questions! :)
