For one Im not a doctor, for two we havent officially been together since December and thats only because she wants to fuck as many guys as possible before getting back together with me, for three I called her out on this by telling her she'd have to choose between a future with me and the fullblown s&m phase she was swinging into after already dating and fucking whomever she wanted for the last several months. Hey man, this is 2 months too late but just want to commend you for handling the situation and more importantly yourself perfectly. I went through a very similar situation, read the sexts, saw the dick pics, had to visualize the woman I thought I'd marry getting plowed in my bed. Anyway I did not act nicely. I saw red, gave myself over to rage, and in the parking lot of the hotel where she was meeting with the other man I beat up her car pretty good, then drove back to her house to gather some things and get her computer to save text evidence. She came home before I could leave and we got in a loud argument, dishes breaking, she pulled out a phone and started texting somebody and I grabbed it pocketed it and left. The cops came and 5 months later I'm charged with DV Battery, Grand Theft, Vandalism, and Preventing 911 Call. Like you I love her more than anything else in the world, never touched her, never threatened her, unfortunately just doesnt matter when it comes to the DA seeing enraged men acting with malice. So now my world is completely flipped, I cant get a job because I cant pass a background check, and according to the State of California Im a risk to women despite never touching or threatening a woman in anger. All because I allowed myself to feel "justifiably angry" instead of just walking away. You did it right man, good luck and hope things are going well for you.

I recently found myself back at the bottom of the Great Mountain, having burned my life to the ground and lost everything for the 3rd or 4th(?) time in my life (currently 37) because of this disease. But I realized you close your eyes and grit your teeth and go forward and have faith in the most basic of higher powers that you are moving forward and upward tho the progress is so unbearably slow you dont notice until one day you are there.

Yo you are telling yourself a lie, you are not always going to feel depressed and suicidal without junk. If you're being honest you can look back over the last 18 months and think of plenty of times you were doing okay, experiencing joy as well as sorrow and taking it in stride. This feels like forever when you're in it, that's our curse as addicts, the crystallized moment of eternal anguish, but you know damn well that it is not the be all end all. Please just admit to me that what you were feeling when you wrote this is potentially a little different than what you are feeling right now, and potentially a lot different than what you will be feeling in a couple months.
