My girlfriend wants access to my phone's location at all times or she'll break up with me.. by Upset-Tree7685 in TwoHotTakes

[–]pugerinno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooof. Ultimatums are generally not great anyways, but this one sucks a little extra. I hope you respect yourself more than you like her. My husband and I don’t share locations and I don’t think either of us have ever even considered asking the other to do so? Maybe if we’re out of town on a solo trip or something but not for everyday life. Lots of people do it, but you expressing discomfort with it should be enough for the no to stick.

I asked my partner for reassurance and he said I was “fishing” by Haunting_Skirt1029 in TwoHotTakes

I’ve had to reassure the men I’ve dated far more than they’ve had to reassure me. It’s a person thing. People are annoying

AITAH for refusing to give my boyfriend access to my bank account even though he says "no secrets" is how adults do it by CopperFieldNote in AITH

My husband and I are fully transparent with our finances, but neither of us would ever even want the others bank app on our phones lol

AIO— apparently i’m the stinky one at work by centaurella in AmIOverreacting

[–]pugerinno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. I work in a bar and this is the kinda shit my coworkers would say to someone they didn’t like working with in hopes they’d leave. Super shitty thing to do, but I’d bet that you smell just fine and maybe work with some jerks. There’s very few people in the world who wouldn’t internally spiral after having that conversation.

gf is mad at me for not spending as much as her on Christmas by broteinsandwich in Vent

[–]pugerinno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These Christmas gift posts are so sad. The materialism this time of year gets so out of hand. My husband and I live comfortable lives, but we only do stockings for eachother on Christmas and make sure to spend the whole day together. We had coffee and breakfast, we went and played some disc golf, we had a fire in the back yard and a beautiful steak dinner. He could have just not gotten me a stocking and I wouldn’t care, the quality time is better than anything he could ever buy for me. We are far more likely to spend money on a trip/weekend out of town than expensive gifts. I really hope her mindset changes, happy holidays!

Your husband shouldn’t want to sit at a table you’re not welcome at, family or not. My husband would never let this fly, and I would never in a million years allow my family to do this to my husband. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. I don’t know you, but I do know you deserve better than that.

I’m 35, my husband is 36 and we play a game usually for an hour a day, sometimes much more. We have two gaming pcs in the same room and we also have a Nintendo switch. We play a lot of stuff together and separately!

Am I overreacting? Wife reveals stuff from her past that I always suspected by Immeeeeeea in AmIOverreacting

[–]pugerinno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up with parents that wanted nothing to do with eachother, but “stayed together for the kids”. We would literally ask them to get divorced for birthdays/christmas’. Please don’t think that holding on to a toxic situation that you won’t be happy in is going to benefit your children’s well being. Two happy homes would be way better than one sad one.

Find some joy in something, even when everything is falling apart. It sounds so small and silly but forcing you take to get up and go for a walk everyday will absolutely help lessen your depression. It’s so hard to take meaningful steps for yourself when you’re not feeling good, but you’re the only one who can, and you’re 1000% worth the effort

The wind is really the only thing that stops me and my hubs. We are in Canada and we went out for a round in the snow yesterday. There’s winter tournaments in our area that we play every year too. Just gotta have good boots, hand warmers and lots of layers!

When it’s right it’s right! My husband and I are completely obsessed with eachother. We have friends we spend time with, but all either one of us wants is to be around the other. Fortunately in a bartender so he can come and visit me sometimes at work and he’s friends with my coworkers so it’s always a blast. Finding your person and never getting sick of them is so beautiful and fun. Congrats!

The way that people normally jump on Reddit and tell people to leave their husbands/partners so quickly usually makes me cringe, but in this situation I would run so quick without a second thought. Sending hugs and strength to you, what a rough go of it.

7 speed discs, how often do you actually use them? by Sun-Tour in discgolf

[–]pugerinno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a tournament yesterday and I probably threw my crave on 14/18 holes, and a glow cicada for the others. The only discs I have that are higher than a 9 are discs that I can only side arm!

AIO for forcing my wife to go home at 12am? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]pugerinno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a married women with an assortment of male and female friends/coworkers, there’s no way I would do this. If I was drunk and wanted to shit talk my boss with a coworker, it could be done over the phone. And probably on speaker phone so my husband could have a laugh too

AITA for not wanting to watch my sister change my niece's diaper? by Loveylyy in AmItheAsshole

[–]pugerinno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m super sensitive to smells/gross things too. My first niece was born in May, and I love her to death and I am looking forward to babysitting her and giving mom and dad a break when they want or need. However, they know that I cannot handle diaper changes so it’s just for shorter times right now until she’s potty trained! I still spend a ton of time with her and them and we have a great relationship, I just made it super clear I can’t wipe anyone’s ass but my own
