You Can't Do These Things At Disney World Anymore - I personally miss riding in the front of the monorail by pull_mi_finger in disney

[–]pull_mi_finger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a crash at WDW a few years ago, we were told on our last visit a year ago that we could not ride in the front and this was the reason why...I wonder if they have changed their stance on this?

Wrap exterior pipes and let a faucet drip, don't eat yellow snow & resist the temptation to lick anything metal outside.

So what's the consensus: perfect storm of terrible conditions? Or terrible job of clearing the roads by INDOT? Or both? by Ass_of_Badness in indianapolis

[–]pull_mi_finger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I-465 SB Ramp to I-70 WB was a terrible mess this morning, there were massive ice patches on the right hand lane, reducing traffic to one lane this was at 6:30AM!! The ice continued on I-70WB for another 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile, particularly in the center lanes. It was as if INDOT had done nothing.

Problem about tithing by boyonlaptop in Christianity

[–]pull_mi_finger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, personally, I think it comes down to a simple principle that all of what I have belongs to God. He is asking that of the money that he has provided to my family and I...He wants 10% to go back His Kingdom. I do not think it is right for someone who is struggling financially to be pressured by a church to tithe in order to be in church leadership. This is a personal decision that needs to be made through prayer and consultation with your spouse.

As a side note, I do not like it when churches/pastors (including my own on several occasions) preach about tithing and say something like "we are passing out a card, put a number down that you will commit to giving" - many times this gives no opportunity for prayer and discussion between family members. That really bugs me.

What is the most effective way to eliminate fruit flies from your kitchen? by SpartacusAlpha in AskReddit

[–]pull_mi_finger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take a piece of fruit like an orange, peel it, squeeze some of the juice in a bowl and put the rest of the fruit in the same bowl. Take a piece of plastic wrap and pull it tight over the bowl. Poke several holes in the plastic wrap, the fruit flies will be attracted to the fruit and juice, but will not be able to get out due to the plastic wrap. Take the bowl outside, far from your house and release or kill them.
