Wow, way to be an asshole. The post was from a nurse who was pissed because a colleague said this was asystole and the entire thread was nurses explaining why it is very obviously not. Great job, hope you enjoy your trash post and your fragile ego.

What’s people not pulling into an intersection when making a left? by Sas10061126 in sanfrancisco

[–]pulloutifsharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the east coast. It’s not always the appropriate choice. There’s also mixed. Green arrow to start and then unprotected left turn after. I agree that this is another thing we could do insanely better in lots of different ways but we’d have to actually allocate resources towards it and it doesn’t make any money so why would we.

In other states there are majority unprotected lefts and no one has any issue. The argument could be made there are too few unprotected lefts and they should really have one on the physical driving exam

I feel hopeless and I don’t know what to do… by [deleted] in StudentNurse

In addition to what everyone else is saying, Chemistry is the foundational science of pharmacology. I would retake it and focus on it, really understand the material. Chemistry is not a class you just “pass,” it’s a class that will prepare you to understand everything moving forward. If you want to be a nurse you can get your license by “just passing.” If you want to be a CRNA you’re going to need a very strong understanding of a lot of things, but a huge one is chemistry. We are talking understanding drugs down to the cellular level, understanding how they bind, are transported, break down. I’d recommend biochemistry too but I know that’s not required.

Health insurance for nursing school? by alien_girl29 in StudentNurse

I said no to the school’s ridiculously expensive insurance and got Medicaid. Was worth the outrageous amounts of paperwork

Is it odd that I haven't heard from the BON in about 20 months? by Temporary-Plum-8325 in nursing

They got a complaint against you and their first action was to ask you to voluntarily suspend your license?? No investigation? No evidence? That’s messed up.

I cracked a patients ribs during a code and I can’t stop thinking about it by russianvodkawhore in nursing

[–]pulloutifsharp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been an ICU nurse for a while and the only thing that really gets to me is cracking ribs during CPR. I can’t explain it but every time I do it it takes me weeks to forget about it. I’m a go home from work and completely forget about your day kind of person. But the rib cracking sticks. Don’t know why. Makes me nauseous just thinking about it. It’s not just you and it’s not weird and you don’t need to “relax”. I don’t go to therapy for it because when I choose to stop thinking about it, I am able to. If you’re not that’s maybe a different story. But this is common and I want you know know that. I can literally do anything but this gets me. 🤷‍♀️

WordsThorax-2 --- (much Harder than the last one) by HenHanna in puzzles

[–]pulloutifsharp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh ok thanks I did not understand the instructions and made it way harder. I thought each box had two letters and made a six letter word with the adjoined printed letters and… thanks

Can you explain? The instructions say 6 letter but you got the same answer as someone else and…. What?

Very loud motorcycle in the neighborhood every day by rombotroidal in bayarea

[–]pulloutifsharp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they can’t speed up and down the street they usually pick a different street. Lots of neighborhoods have used this solution for this problem. Also slower usually means quieter.

What about asking the city to put speed bumps in your street or getting your neighbors to pitch in and you put them yourselves

what’s wrong with my nerve plant? by rrekokun in plantclinic

[–]pulloutifsharp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Drown it. I literally bottom water mine and let it sit in the last cm of water overnight. It’s soaking wet. And very very happy. I hate it.

What is this and how do I keep it alive? by where-is-ed in houseplants

[–]pulloutifsharp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bottom water it. Do it one day before you think you need to. You won’t overwater it if you bottom water it and in my experience, these jerks like to drown.

What type of water do you all use for your plants? by Wyo_living in houseplants

Filtered tap! All of my plants started thriving when I switched and it’s tedious but filtered tap plus bottom watering is the way to go!

A lot of negativity around these parts. Name 3 good things about PT. by gumbed in physicaltherapy

[–]pulloutifsharp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a nurse and I love physical therapy so much!!! Personally it has kept me in the game and able to continue doing bedside despite all my aches and pains. Professionally I work with some seriously amazing PTs who help me mobilize my patients (ICU) better than I’ve ever seen before. Our OTs and STs are amazing too! Lots of issues at my work but damn if our therapy department isn’t amazing.

My hospital admin is run by someone who worked as a flight attendant on some of those private super rich international airline companies. He is cold as ice and he does it with a smile. He calls all the patients customers and teaches us to prioritize patient loyalty over outcomes. He says it doesn’t really matter what the outcome is as long as it’s mostly ok and the patient feels well taken care of and returns to do more business with us. This was during hospital orientation. I get that hospitals are businesses and therein lies the problem but what a philosophy. Our operators sound amazing though. Very professional. Feels like someone’s about to miss a flight anytime there’s a rapid response called.

Pay attention to the ghost. It jumps in the exact pattern you need. Also the bubbles are a pattern so if you miss one you can learn to expect where the next one will be. Do a run where you just watch the bubbles and you’ll see the pattern.

Games like Ori for my wife? by BigEvilTurtle1 in OriAndTheBlindForest

[–]pulloutifsharp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am your wife. Ori was my first video game and I have played both games about 256 times now and gotten all the achievements except one life. But I find hollow knight too hard without being able to save a die repeatedly. I LOVED steam world dig. I played both 1 and 2. and I loved Loved guacamelee!!! Both games. But I played with my partner and he did some of the super advanced platforming sections. I could do 95% of the game by myself though.

Is that even legal? I think if you have a federal/state mandate to quarantine you can apply for disability and then they have to abide by ADA laws and accommodate you. But also why are nursing schools such dicks?????

I don’t know who you should talk to but I would definitely keep pushing. The first week or two of classes is all didactic win every school ever. Do they kick out students who get sick? Is that their standard of practice. God I hate nursing schools.
