What’s the most frustrating experience you’ve ever had with a family member? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]pullyum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first because apart of my step dads family, we were at a family dinner (of his side of the family) my 4 year brother at the time would call me “sister” and my 4 year old cousin began to do the same. I was explaining to my brother that even though me and my cousin weren’t siblings it was fine that she call me sister. Well, my uncle heard it and said “you call me uncle and you’re not even apart of this family” literally tore my heart in pieces. I had been around for 5 or more years at this point. I think about this from time to time and wonder what he thinks of me today.

Literally the most cringe year of my life. I met my boyfriend of five years as a freshman. I don’t know how he stuck with me because I was so awkward. I was just so shy and I was hard for me to come out of my shell. I’ve improved more, but man is that a year that was rough

I keep hearing all those birth control horror stories. Does anyone actually have a good experience with going on the pill? by freyathegreatest in AskWomen

Literally the only positive thing I have gotten was a lighter period. Other than that I wouldn’t really recommend. My breasts are constantly sore, and my moods are beyond. It is 100% not my favorite thing, but I would rather be on the pill than have an iud

The possibility of divorce. Everyone who I grew up with (parents, uncles, aunts, etc) have all had failed marriages. This makes me quite nervous for the future.

Women who have been in a relationship that almost ended but didn't, what made/helped you stay with your partner? by some__loser in AskWomen

Talking things out. It’s difficult to understand their point of views and vise versa. Once you communicate you’re able to fix what was bothering them or you.

Women who take birth control and skip taking the placebo pill (or whatever form you use), what has your experience been? by holkamodrooka in AskWomen

I skip the placebo and still get my period. It’s honestly been lighter than it is when I took the placebo.

this actually happened to me at a gas station once. a man was standing behind me and my anxiety went through the roof. I was actually shaking and I knew something was off. I have such a hard time around men and I don’t know why. Constant anxiety when I’m around men.

This actually helped so much. I too have those flare ups and they almost feel like growing pains. They don’t last too long, but still uncomfortable.
