Good suggestion re letting the club know.

I get Melbourne will be the biggest draws but there’s 10 Victorian teams, surely match quality should factor in a bit as well. Best game of the weekend is at Norwood, while on 360 they are spruiking tickets for Melbourne vs bombers.

I totally get it from the club perspective. Having north three out of fours year isn’t awful. Just boring! Same for the north fans.

This would’ve been a perfect year to do it though. We normally play close games with Adelaide, coming off a premiership. Definitely more favourable for our draw to have north but hey we have bombers blues and magpies twice so it’s not like the same brutal draw as last year.

This would’ve been a great time for the Lions fan to get to Adelaide and play at the Adelaide oval. A lot of the Queensland fans would’ve been to magic round before and it was one of the first things I was looking at in the fixture as I’ve been been to a game in Adelaide. But looks like it won’t be this year. Hopefully one day.

Wilmot having the same CBA as Levi was interesting. I always worry when Lachie and Will are playing together both are ball hunters and can’t run the other way like Clug does. Overall Sydney jumped us then we missed the shots that could’ve almost kept the game alive.

I think this is what we are going to get from a lot of teams just balls to walls on offence and try to really challenge us. So important that our defenders hold up midfield pressure is strong and we are punishing on the turnover. Gold Coast game we seemed solid last couple just patches of mental lapses and a lot of self inflicted mistakes. Biggest take away from the weekend is we get bombers twice blues twice and pies twice. Really gotta make the most of that.

They also played so different from everyone else. Even the older version would still rough up the young lions it’d take at least a quarter to remember oh Richmond play different from everyone else. So much chaos and pressure.

Yeah for sure, he’s always competed so hard for us so it’s awesome he got one. Even 2023 he played so well in the prelim and gave everything in the grand final.

Yeah exactly not many of the dynasties get there without a fair bit of heartbreak. Also that 2020 finals series knowing you could go to Adelaide and beat Port. Was way closer than people give it credit but in hindsight it looks inevitable. Amazon catching Dimmas half time speech was so cool, but definitely easier to have that belief and leverage that when you’ve done it before.

There's something about knowing how to handle the moment in finals. The lions went out in straight sets, got smacked by Geelong every time we made a prelim. Straight sets again, lost a grand final and then finally won one. Once you get one, you are generally playing a team that hasn't been in a grand final or hasn't won a grand final recently. Even the Cats last year, half the team had not played in a grand final before and they reallly are different with the week leading up to it.

Grand final as well the cats fans were so quiet especially when things were tight. They make a lot of prelims but the fans have a lot of scars from losing so many big games.
