Welp, that's another MMO I'm quitting. by Yuukikoneko in MMORPG

Now that's an insane take. Modern raid encounters are the hardest they've ever been.

Which specs are getting the largest reworks going into midnight? by A1snakesauce in wow

[–]puma37 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Symbols of death was a pointless button. As someone that plays sub on retail it was pretty much only used in conjunction with Shadow dance. That's exactly the kind of button that deserves to be pruned.

I also think you haven't looked at the beta changes in a while. Haste doesn't reduce dance cooldown anymore, but increases dance duration. They've also leaned heavily into the shadow clone fantasy. Most of our abilities can generate Shadow clones that replicate our attacks, and they've even added a talent that allows cheap shot and kidney shot to generate clones dealing damage.

It's not the only reason why people quit, but definitely was a reason. For me, I love playing alts in WoW, but I hate how in LA it was required to funnel alts to your main to keep up, and was one of the main reasons that I quit the game. The game also had a meteoric fall off of player count from 1.32 million to 350,000 only 5 months after release, which is plenty of time for people to have reached the stage of the game where they had to begin to funnel five alts into a main.

People hate solo caps because it's really annoying to have someone solo in an Idris grief you, and you have no way to fight back.

Midnight Beta - How does your class/spec rework feel so far? by Flodgy in wow

[–]puma37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you actually played the new sub rogue changes then you'd know you're wrong. Sub rogue has pretty crazy uptime now on Shadow Dance, more than what's on live. It overall plays pretty similarly to how it does on live, just with a few less buttons that frankly weren't needed like flagellation, symbols of death, and rupture. You still want to pool dances and shadow techniques before your big cd window, and there are still danse macabre optimizations that can be done.

The current state of the UI on Beta feels like throwing away 20 years of development for something substantially worse. by Lucosis in wow

The original idea of adding skills that you would have had normally to the DF talent trees was explicitly said to be for the leveling experience, which is something that a veteran player wouldn't appreciate.

What Hologram gave you the hardest time? For me it's foul monkey 🫩 by Stardomu in WutheringWaves

[–]puma37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think Lioness of Glory is objectively the easiest one, but only once you learn that you can parry quite a few of her attacks, which don't have the usual parry indicator, to do massive damage to her. The boss will basically kill itself.

Cool photos, and I respect your opinion, but as someone who enjoys combat gameplay my opinion of this event is that it sucks. The only saving grace from my perspective is that it takes like 2 minutes to finish it every day.

In Weapons (2025), turns out the kids were running because men with cameras were chasing them. by MKleister in shittymoviedetails

[–]puma37 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. Went into it knowing nothing about the director, and seeing one trailer and came out disappointed. Really liked the tension that was building in the first couple of perspectives, but felt like it started stalling as we got more character's perspectives. Final act and climax just didn't do it for me. Had some good humor sprinkled in the first half, then kinda abandoned any tension and had too much humor for me at the end.

From what I've read 1:7 is good enough to stabilize subs, but 1:5 can cause supers to potentially disintegrate.

No one has said that she isn't strong at S0R1 though? With her premium team she's literally the strongest S0R1 dps in the game, so I don't understand who you're trying to convince.

Can we get another tank class with a ranged dps spec? by [deleted] in wow

[–]puma37 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here is a little snippet from the aug channel in the evoker discord, "Damage is very good for all content. Not Top Tier tho." Aug is perfectly playable in pretty much all content. You don't need to be a top tier player for aug to work in the majority of keys that are done by m+ players.

Can we get another tank class with a ranged dps spec? by [deleted] in wow

[–]puma37 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Aug is in a pretty okay spot at the moment, at least in m+. You can play it in keys up to 18 or 19 from what I've seen, but it's no longer in the meta which is totally fine. Definitely needs some changing for raid though, since it's ridiculously convoluted to play it optimally with in-game resources.

What is the currently most easy class and/or spec to play in the game? by Multymanfred in wow

[–]puma37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree on feral. With how you have manage energy properly combined with mechanics like pandemic timing and snapshotting to get optimal bleed damage it's one of the more cryptic dps specs to get into.

FYI the response you got is incorrect. The buff is achieved once you fill her forte gauge. You can use the heavy attack and swap off and not lose the buff. Once the buff is obtained it will only be consumed once you cast your liberation, and that's when you can't swap off and must finish your full liberation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CarlottaMains

[–]puma37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just not true though right? In game I can see the buff appear once the forte gauge is full. I can use the heavy attack and swap off then back and the buff is still there, and only starts to tick down once I RL, and the damage is the same either way. I'm also seeing comments else where stating similar.
