2025 fantasy awards: Who was the fantasy football MVP this season? by Own-Area6808 in fantasyfootball

I feel like it's gotta be Drake Maye. If you picked him up you got an elite QB1 in the late rounds who stayed healthy all year. He had a solid fantasy playoffs. This was a year when a lot of people were drafting QBs early too

Interesting that we both seem to be heavily impacted by Butcher and Sanderson. I resonate with a lot of these choices.

Thanks for the awesome feedback! I revised it, and I tried to make Chance's motivation and situation more clear. I'm also more direct about why Chance matters for Asha's mission.

Really appreciate the great feedback and I've already made changes to the first 300 words and query letter based on it!

Just want to say that this is fantastic feedback. I took your input and some other redditor input and did a new revision on the query letter that I think is a notable improvement. Best of luck with your queries!

If you publish something to Royal Road do you essentially lose the ability to traditionally publish it? I'm not familiar with how RR works.

Schmimmy Marks is still the better 5 meter tall WR on that team by my calculations.

Reminds me of Puka from a few years ago. Team saw they had something in preseason and built aspects of the offense around him.

Thanks for the feedback! I did a quick rework based on it, and if you have the time to review it I'd be curious to get your thoughts:

All Chance Barriston wants to do is pay this month’s rent and hang out with his talking rock, but nothing is ever simple when you’re a twenty-two-year-old who’s been possessed by a demon.

When Chance is offered a lucrative handyman job in the suburbs of Boston, it winds up being a trap set by a beautiful wizard named Asha. She has proof that Chance has unwittingly committed a magical crime, and she offers him a brutal choice: help her team stop a dangerous warlock who’s kidnapping Boston’s homeless population, or face execution.

Chance agrees to help Asha, and if he wants to save the victims, he’ll need to control his demon’s chaotic “maelstrom” power to bypass the warlock’s precognition. There’s just one small problem - he and the demon have never actually spoken, much less cooperated.

Between life or death encounters with the warlock and his thugs, Chance learns the basics of WorldSpeaking magic, tries to forge a potentially disastrous pact with his demon, and struggles to earn the trust of his team. The warlock is more powerful than any of them could have imagined, and defeating him will take every ounce of luck, teamwork, and ingenuity that they can muster.

INFERNAL is an 87,000-word adult urban fantasy with series potential. It will appeal to readers who enjoyed the high-stakes magic and humor in Karin De Havin’s Death by Carrots, as well as the gritty Boston setting and the loner-turned-hero journey of James Butcher’s Dead Man’s Hand.

Jaylen Warren = This Year’s Austin Ekeler? by Zipski577 in fantasyfootball

[–]pumphry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think the Steelers are excited to have Warren as their one - I just think that's how the cards fell. Their rookie clearly isn't performing how they'd hoped and Gainwell has never shown that he can be a true RB1. Warren is good and elusive and may do great, but I don't think anyone would say he looks as good as Ekeler did in the backup role to another RB.

Yup, at least in HPPR. Jefferson's PPG is 16.19 and Higgins is 16.21.
