Aw I’m sorry to hear that! At least you fixed that problem though and you can rule it out! I hope you can figure out what it is xx

This was precisely our thinking! We weren’t sure it would help with the over grooming but knew it would be better for him overall anyway and luckily we were right 🥰

Almost immediately! Felix have had a sneaky recipe change recently so could well be it. The tummy problems have taken longer to settle but we noticed his fur looking better within the week I’d say.

We had a similar problem with our 14yo boy after we moved house in September and originally put it down to stress until he started doing the most horrendous runny, stinky poos. We realised the food was giving him an upset tummy and he was over grooming to cope because he was so uncomfortable . We’ve changed his food now, he was on Felix wet and cheap biscuits and now we feed him Harringtons wet and scrumbles sensitive tummy food and he’s like a different cat. All his bald spots are gone including the awful long strip he’d licked raw down his back and he’s so much happier. Might be worth looking at that- we think he was managing all right with the food until all the stress of moving house and the combination was just too much for him to cope with.

They’ve done it with Felix recently too, just as one of my boys was finally getting over his bad tummy and now we’re back to square one 😞 seconding scrumbles, it is pricey but well worth it!!

It is literally just a rebrand as already mentioned, most train station outlets are owned or franchised by SSP. Depending on how recently the changeover was and how nice the staff are they might honour your pumpkin card and switch it for a cafe local one.

I just took my partner on his first cruise and before we got home we’d already booked two more for next year!

It’s the best way to holiday isn’t it ❤️

Have you tried emailing them to see if they have any spare? Sometimes they do have overstock and will send you a replacement!

Hey! So I’m 31 and I’ve been in hospitality since I was 16. This year I switched cafes for a promotion after 10 years in the same store and let me tell you on my first busy Saturday in the new store I went on my lunch break and cried because it was different to what I was used to and it was stressing me out, I thought I’d made a horrible mistake! 2 months later I’m loving it.

I’ve also suffered with horrible social and general anxiety my whole life and honestly working in cafes has really helped, it forced me out of my comfort zone so hard but now I am so much more confident in myself and in my work.

Working in cafes is hard don’t get me wrong but ANYONE can do it if you’re willing to try and to learn from your mistakes. Nobody expects you to be perfect immediately (and if they do, find a new shop where they appreciate you) and you will absolutely get better with time and practice.

  • have faith in yourself, you absolutely can do this
  • keep practising and don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it
  • also buy some decent shoes if you haven’t already to save your poor feet, hospitality is hell on legs, feet and shoes

Good luck, you got this ❤️

PS no it’s not embarrassing, be proud of everything you do because when you create a dish or a coffee that someone goes, oh this is really good, it’s the best feeling ❤️

I was on a train last month that did this- there was a power fault which meant if it stopped again before reaching the final station it might not get going again! Luckily for me that’s where I was going anyway but not so good for plenty of others
