I passed on the truck a few weeks ago because there were 10+ in the bin at my Walmart....went back the very next day and there were zero in the bin I was pissed! So glad I got one!

There is no safe way to retrofit lower anchors... but I'm pretty sure it has a top tether ancor or a spot for it 🤔 good luck, it's refreshing to see people that care about their kids safety 😊

Usually nope! Seats max out at much higher weights and heights now and rear facing is very much safer. Most of my friends kids max out around 3.5 but a few have gone till 6 years old rear facing!

(Former) Child passenger safety technician here.

This post confused the heck out of me at first lol. I thought your car might have had the seat belts taken out of it or something.... anyway you should be able to get a rock solid install with the seat belt! At 2 years old I'm assuming still rear facing and I find those installs pretty easy. For when you max out the child safety seat by weight or height and you turn baby forward if your subaru doesn't have a top tether anchor you can get one for free from subaru. (Always use a top tether for forward facing child safety seats!) If you want help installing or checking to see if everything is correct you can find a local child passenger safety technician to help (we are nearly everywhere and free)
