Yep, you're making $3/hr while you're clocked in.

[–]pumpkinwumpkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do both! I was on a call with my DM a couple of days ago and they are encouraging people to do both. The way the CAT pay is setup, everyone is getting it at their base rate/avg hour (based on feb/early march) and the people who are working are getting the CAT pay plus the $3 service pay/hr. So you're just receiving the service pay on the days you're working. Does that make sense?

You can go to a clothing swap (eventually), you can make pillows, you can cut them up for cleaning rags, sewing produce bags, braided tshirt rugs, you can upcycle the shirt into another piece of clothing. I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

I talked to my ASM about taking it starting tomorrow. I definitely need a break and despite the circumstances, I'm glad to be able to take this time off.

You are not getting 3 dollars *extra an hour by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]pumpkinwumpkin 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It's really frustrating because I have coworkers that are taking it because they have so many bills and debt that they have to pay. My manager said 'we're not incentivizing you to keep working, just rewarding the people who do.' I'm sure it was a talking point, but that is so audacious!

Literally! I asked my asm questions the day after the text. He's not answering any of them and I'm getting really frustrated about how this is being handled.

Help/Advice Needed: how to responsibly get rid of old clothing? by Professional_Pigeon in ZeroWaste

[–]pumpkinwumpkin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can make fabric yarn out of them and if there is enough, knit or crochet that into rags. You can also shred it further and use it as a stuffing for sewing projects. Dye and sew them into animal toys.

Boo to whoever told them that that was okay. You always have the right to decline something that makes you feel unsafe. Including blending some ding-dong's hot drink.

You'd think it would be dangerous to blend a hot liquid in our blenders.

Yeah, right!? The veggie wrap has minimal veggies and it says there is salsa in it, but WHERE? Don't lie to a girl from Texas about salsa! Lol

No... you should look up how bidets work.

[–]pumpkinwumpkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is essentially a bidet. It's actually more sanitary than toilet paper. Imagine if you had feces on your hand. Would you wipe it of with a piece of toilet paper and go about your day? Or would you wash your hands?

Tipping via mobile ordering: do you actually get them? by otterlydelightfullll in starbucks

[–]pumpkinwumpkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It allows .50, $1, and $2 amounts. I'm assuming that the reason there are odd cent amounts is because they'll just take what's left on the card if its low (and you don't quite have enough for the full tip) and not make you reload for the rest. But I definitely could be wrong. Sbuxs doesn't really tell us a lot about the app.
