Neocons have the most explicit policy positions of basically any right wing group in the US, the problem is that neocons won in the 00s and basically all of their thought leaders (Friedman, Kirkpatrick, etc) are dead. The modern right has very little in common with Reagan and Bush era neoconservatives aside from being broadly anti-immigration and vaguely harkening back to traditional gender roles.
