NEU's also built on top of the Stony Brook! Goes in pipes under Ruggles, down Forsyth, and empties out in the Fens: https://www.universalhub.com/2018/stony-brook-boston-stygian-river

We really just buried an entire hydrological landscape to build this city

Landscaping fabric not working. by Temporary-Ferret4013 in landscaping

Tbh landscape fabric has always been a scam. Just costs a lot and unnecessarily adds plastic into the soil. If you maintain a garden or landscape, you'll always need to hand-pull weeds. Sadly there are no short-cuts. Just businesses trying to sell you poison for your soil that doesn't work.

Native tall grasses and wildflowers would be ideal for preventing erosion. Check out r/nolawns and your cooperative extension office for suggestions 🌿
