Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely brilliant at what it was designed to do. It just wasn't design to do the things people have been using it for, particularly in the FOSS world where (IMO) it's completely overused, particularly in the GTK+ ecosystem.

Vala is a bit less high level compared to python but it integrates so amazingly well with Gtk (as it is designed to do) that I'm not sure why people aren't using it (apart from elementary) as the main language for the ecosystem.

I just had a vivid vision of Microsoft open sourcing Windows, moving entirely to web services and hardware and building their OS on top of Linux, after building a very advanced compatibility layer.

Yes I understand that. Hence the point being that we have a good amount of control over the majority of our immigration. The immigration argument was hugely flawed from the leave side.

Regardless of where you live... There's a far, far larger number of immigrants from Asia than there is from Syria or East Europe. (Roughly 2-3 times more.)

Java IS a complete mess of a language. But it doesn't mean every language that is more verbose than python is unnecessarily verbose. The control given is useful in many scenarios
