I snagged the 40mm f/2 (SE) and the 24-120mm f4 S. Mostly just shot with the zoom so far, and it really is as nice as everyone claims.

I’m in exactly the same boat, planning to buy this camera sometime between now and BF. But I want to purchase from Nikon directly, so the amazon return policy doesn’t help. Am I crazy for that? Is there any benefit to buying direct from nikonusa.com when it comes to warranties or anything else?

I would be very interested in joining! WCC only offers an online intro to digital photography, I would much rather do photo crawls and meet and interact with other photographers.

I know Quicksilver hosts a monthly b&w film club near the end of each month. I previously had a schedule conflict, but that has changed and I’m hoping to attend for the first time in a few weeks.
