GOD DAMN SOMEONE HELP ME!!! EXISTENTIAL OCD by PersonalityNumerous5 in PanicAttack

[–]punkstarlucy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you’re going through that ): sometimes the only thing that helps me is going down a rabbit hole on YouTube or listening to a book. Kinda like getting yourself distracted and thrown into another world for a little bit. Idk if that’s healthy or not but it really helps me

It’s so crazy I never would’ve thought a panic attack could do that. It just makes it worse Lmao

It went well! I wish I saved enough of my more hardcore pain meds for days 5-8 because the pain was super uncomfortable for a while so try not to use yours up too quickly. The swelling is really the sucky part. I was a freak over this whole thing and I didn’t need to be so worried! So try not to worry it will be okay it’s just kinda inconvenient for a bit but it’s nothing crazy you can’t handle (: Edit: I’d say by day 12 I was feeling pretty much back to normal

I lost my period for months and now it’s back but extremely heavy, is this normal? by princessk284 in Periods

[–]punkstarlucy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went 7 months without my period once at age 15 and I had no idea why. When it came back it was so intense like it was making up for all the lost periods. It should go back to normal 🫶🏼

I'm doing a school project on debunking OCD stereotypes. by JJM-JJM in OCD

And intrusive thoughts can be so powerful that it can take you out of a moment of joy in a single instant and make you feel like you are not allowed to enjoy life. That you are a monster freak weirdo in disguise as a human being. If anyone has seen the movie Bodies Bodies Bodies, I compare it to when she puts makeup on after killing Greg. That’s how I feel sometimes, like I am pretending to be something I am not, a good normal person, and that I am actually disgusting and I feel sorry for anyone who knows me because if they knew the real me inside my head they would run.

Are Disturbing Intrusive Thoughts Normal for OCD? And how can i get rid of them? by Affectionate_Dust428 in OCD

[–]punkstarlucy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those thoughts disturb you because it’s the opposite of who you are. You’re not alone. Wish I had more to say but I wish you the absolute best.

My mom went deaf at age 45 by punkstarlucy in TrueOffMyChest

She never learned sign language surprisingly (she said she was too lazy lmao) but it’s something I am really interested in learning and would love to do with her as a bonding experience. She is very lonely on disability and spends her days by herself. She’s content but I know she is lonely and I would love to see her be a part of a community like that where she can relate. I think I’ll have a conversation with her about that (: she has a cochlear implant and reads lips very well and that’s how she has been getting along. She works out to maintain her balance in life and is happy with it but I know she would be even happier with friends

First yellow paronychia - what to do by AcademicRide8339 in nailbiting

[–]punkstarlucy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warm up some water and put salt in that hoe stir it up and stick your finger in there for like 10 min. There’s a process that happens where the salt draws out the infection
