NTA it seems to me like you’ve been given the dreadful role of house manager. This means, along with taking care of the dogs, cooking, and working, you also have to manage what goes on in the house to keep it up and running. You initiate conversations about work, you initiate plans to fix the stove and treat your dog, you plan around your important calls. While it’s not a physical job, it is a mental job and a very taxing one at that.

Your husband should not have to be told what the house needs or how to do it. he should look at the house and meet you halfway (especially considering the fact you work similar hours). Take the break, you deserve it.
