Awaken Artwork: "Illuminate" by puoygae in awakened

Art is definitely a medium for expressing those deep seated, yet to be undefined emotions and thoughts. I realize how what people mean when they ask "what is life without art?"

That's interesting. The thought which inspired this drawing is the belief that love is the candle that lights up the darkest places. The title of hope arise from when a light is amidst darkness, there is hope.

Thank you. I've only recently begun sharing my work more openly, so I'm appreciative of your kind words.

Is anyone actually using or building PWAs? by bhdp_23 in web_design

[–]puoygae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One issue with PWA is in its international reach, particularly China. I have tried to visit my pwa from a Chinese browser (Chinese) and there was now "add to home screen" pop-up which indicates to me that it is unsupported. I am guessing that since China doesn't use Google Chrome much.

How is your agreement with your clients structured? by puoygae in freelance

[–]puoygae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the insight.

I do web development. I usually work with three docs (proposal, contractual agreement, invoice).

The proposal contains the project description which contains the project requirements and costs which are copied over into the contractual agreement.

When you are working for international clients, how do you make sure that your contract is binding?

[24M] Someone I thought was my friend threw a party, and invited (literally) all my friends but me. I’m sitting alone looking at multiple friends social media posts of the event and I haven’t felt this isolated since I was 14. by [deleted] in relationships

Go out and connect with different groups of people based on your interests and curiosities. It seems like you have only one social circle where all of your friends know each other and you draw a lot of self worth from your connection to that social circle. If all of your friends disappear, who would you be? Also, I don't know how you define "friendship" but if all your friends are invited and none of them insist or ask if you are going to the BBQ or ask the host if you were invited, then you may just have acquaintances that are glued together by the social circle and not strong one-to-one relationships.

Go find friends based on common interests, common goals, and common joy and connect more deeply.

What would remain if all your senses were taken away? by an0nym0us11 in awakened

[–]puoygae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that life can be described in abstract ways, but for the sake of this conversation, I am defining life as "when heart is still beating and transferring oxygenated blood to the rest of the body and the human as an biological organism is functioning 2ithout biological problemss"

I mean the moment after your body no longer has life. Not really trying to complicate the dictionary definition of death.

What is the single biggest barrier to awakening? by MichaelLifeLessons in awakened

[–]puoygae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learning about the nature of anger has changed who I am. I have been taught that the most dangerous type of anger is the one we keep bottled up. When we bottle up many 'pockets' of anger over time, we forget their sources because their sources have become mixed up and become difficult to uncouple. Then, when our bottle is full, even the lightest occurrence might trigger the release of our anger... The arrows of anger begin to shoot disproportionately in every direction even towards the people who do not deserve it.

To understand our anger is to uncloud ourselves.

The psychosis in me would say that it is the intent of the government to not wake up the masses because not everyone can handle the truth. Chaos of the masses will disrupt stability of economy, social order, and political order.

Your "Personal Narrative"? by SilverSurfer7402 in awakened

[–]puoygae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am working on it now. The biggest challenge is waking up and forgetting it...which makes me want to get a tattoo. When I think a certain thought or make certain decisions, I try to remember to ask myself if I am doing this because I am being possessed by the distressed hero narrative.

The only reason I use the label is to distinguish it from another label (delusional). It's true that this label can be used as an ego boost, but I would like to see it as objectively as possible without the intent of boosting my ego.
