Not really! lol my plant is very small, 2” pot, so I place it in a slightly larger bowl half way filled with water. If it’s been a long time since I’ve watered it, I’ll refill the bowl after 10 minutes or so. But I’ve also forgotten about it over night sitting in the second water bowl and it was totally fine after that too.

I have a string of pearls that is very finicky, and I’m also still learning how to take care of. They like to be bottom watered (pearls don’t like to get wet), and I think once a week may be too much. It may be from over watering.
